Wedding car - is there such a thing as drop off only?

kudozs, 11 July, 2010 at 21:46 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hello, I'm new to this forum today - and excited about having other brides to be to talk to :-)

Well the title pretty much says it all! I'm thinking about hiring a car, but I only need it to get to the ceremony as the reception is in the same place and we're staying over. Do any of you know if you can hire a car like this? Have you done it??

Thanks

Jenny x

    HI,

I'm doing this. We've hired 1 car that will pick OH, BM, etc up and take to the venue. Then come back for me, BMs, mum and uncle.

    Hi, welcome! x

We too are having the ceremony reception etc in the same place, so only need a one way journey, and the limo company were quite happy to do that for £99 x

    Hi Jenny

    Welcome to hitched!

I also just require transport to the venue, but i've ordered two cars for the day, one for me one for bridesmaids- you may find a lot of them only do one wedding a day.

The good thing is this means they are around for photos after the ceremony, and also availiable to take you somewhere else purely for photographs if you would like them to.

Indeed this is a good idea worth considering.

I've done this. They've agreed to three journeys for the same price - pick H2B up, pick bridesmaids up, come back for me and big bro. Although me, broand bridesmaids might fit in at the same time, depends how wide my dress is when it comes in!

And they're staying for an hour post-ceremony for any pics.

We did this. Was £80 for a 5 min trip in a E Class Merc with a uniformed driver.
