My dad loves cars and actually met my mother while he was the chaffeur at a wedding...we have a miniscule budget but I would love to surprise him with a vintage car to take us from the house to the ceremony. It's a half hour journey, mid week in December. I understand that there are fixed costs involved- the car being tied up so not free for full day, cleaning, driver etc etc but all the quotes I have had have been way out of line with what I can justify spending. I feel bad as it's sort of a gift to my dad - it is a surprise for him.
Does anyone know anyone who would maybe be able to give me a more reasonable figure fitting in with the shortness of the journey and the fact it is off peak. Sorry if I am not supposed to post this query on here- I just would love your help.
