Wedding car/Transport??

I would definitely save your car for just you and your new husband!! For 18 people you could probably get away with a couple of people carrier taxis then everyone is where you want them to be, when you want them to be there!!

I'd get a local taxi firm to take the rest of the guests off, while you and your new husband go for a drive in your lovely car. Then you can make a grand entrance to the reception once everyone is there, and you will have had a small amount of time just the two of you - you won't get it again on the day! x

For me it would depend on your plan for photos. If there will be one big shot of you all and then going into the smaller shots before you go to your reception venue, you could match it so that the people involved in the fewest photos are taken first and so on until it's just you left. Having said that, totally understand where you're coming from about keeping the car just for you!

Its not particularly wedding-y but a limo company near us has party buses if you have the budget, they take 14-18 ppl. Or I got a quote from marshalls coaches which was really reasonable x

I agree with the 'waiting around' concern. I'd be tempted just to get a mini-bus to take everyone to the reception venue. Most taxi companies have them so it might be worth calling around a few local ones.

Thanks everyone!! We have decided we are going to keep the car for ourselves and sort other transport for our guests, either taxis or a minibus. I just think it makes sense to keep everybody together and have them arriving at the same time rather than having some people at the reception and other still waiting to be picked up.
