Wedding colours

Anotherknight, 23 January, 2013 at 11:03 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi all

Im getting married on 16/11/13 and keep changing my mind about a colour scheme! My latest idea is duck egg blue with hints of ivory and maybe peach or a nude colour. What are your views on this and is it ok for a November wedding?? I haven't a clue as I'm all new to this and have never given it much thought! Any ideas would be gratefully received!

Thanks all

    Hi.

I think the colour choice is a personal thing, we all have different likes and dislikes, so its really down to what you like.

Personally I think warmer/richer colours are better for the time of year you are getting married , but again, this is my personal opinion and others might disagree, so do what you feel works for you.

I love those colours and think they will go really well together, but have to agree with 2b_MrsB that they'd be better for a spring/summer wedding and might look a bit cold at that time of year. You could still have blue, but maybe in a deeper colour?

I would say go for whatever colours you like, regardless of November/season. I am a HUGE fan of duck egg clue and soft peaches (they're the colours I use as my website theme!) so I'm biased and will say yessss to those colours!

I say go for what you want. It doesnt matter about the season in my opinion - if you love the colours then go for it. It's your wedding at the end of the day.

Bear in mind though that I had a colour scheme in mind and I couldnt find the bridesmaid dresses to match - eventually I chose the colour scheme around the dresses (sapphire blue and ivory theme).

    Sounds nice to me!

If you need a little inspiration google 'duck egg wedding colour palettes '

& if you like what you see then go for it x
