Hadn't really thought that far ahead yet, but quite possibly. Some of the Groomsmen are staying at our hotel the night before and so i'll see them on the day and they can take it with them when they head over to see D...

Oooh I might copy you again Moya ?

Only joking, I don't think my OH would appreciate the effort of a hand made card, so Clintons it is.

I will be, I like the idea of writing something quite heartfelt for him to read on the morning of the wedding, especially as we'll be seperate. I think they would be lovely to keep as well, to remind you both of how you were feeling on that morning etc - sort of the beginning of the rest of your lives together if you get what I mean <apologies for the fluff>

I thought this yesterday, I'd have loved Prettywild to do one for him, but she'd now have to get it to me by Friday!

i hadn't even thought of getting him a card...i like the idea of him reading it the morninggetting ready but i think the sentiment might be lost on him! OH didn't realise he'd be expected to buy me a pressie on the big day so not sure it'd even crosee his mind to get me a card too.....

    Cola,

Make sure you do an in-depth Google search, there are companies out there than provide Aston's for sub £300 if you just need to get H2B to the Church / Ceremony.

Be careful though as some that appear to be great value hide a lot of costs such as price per mile, boundary charges and even charges for photographs of the car.

If you need any advise, let me know.. I think I'm waaay out of your area so this isn't a pimp of my own services.

Basically - Some Hire firms do not own the vehicle, they either know a few owners, hire one in to use or have one on Lease / Finance. This is why some charge higher rates to cover their expenses.

I own my car out right and it's part of my overall wedding service offerings, as it's fully paid for and in my pocket I can essentially charge what I like, go where I like and stay on site for as long as is required on the day.. some firms have strict restrictions on return times which makes me think 3rd party hire (in which most cases is against the rules).

    Hope this helps.

My H2B is not a 'fluffy' type of person so anything too soppy would be wasted on him. he said other day 'have i got to buy you a wedding present? what do you want?' he's probably not thought about a card cos i hadn't tbh!

I'd thought of buying him something to wear for the day (cufflinks etc) but he'd probably never use them again as he doesn't wear suits, unless he's forced to, so i've bought him Muse tickets. his birthday is 4 days after our wedding so a night in a hotel after the gig is his birthday present.

We spent the night before our wedding at our hotel and exchanged cards as we kissed goodnight and went off to our separate rooms. We opened them on our own in our rooms before going to sleep (well, trying to sleep, I didn't sleep a wink and felt shattered on the day!) Anyway, I'm pleased we did, it was lovely!

I definitely want to give him one, cos i am really into cards and i think i will have a lot to say. and these are feelings and moments i want to remembe in years to come. BUT i dont think he will think of giving me one - he is such a man and totally oblivious to these things. i might start dorpping hints but i kind of want it to come from him. but then again i dont want to be massively disappointed.

where would i get one anyway? do they sell them in normal shops? do i have to make one or order it specially?

    xx
