Wedding dreams/ Nightmares....

Flowmojo, 4 February, 2011 at 09:21 Posted on Planning 0 12

..seriously, am i going to have these for the next 16months?! Had my first one last night, hideous it was..........

we'd forgotten to take the table decorations down so the venue had put us allllllll on big long tables like in a school room..

no flowers has been delivered for the service and when they did turn up, they were the wrong ones completly...

an 'unsavoury ' turned up as the boyfriend of another guest and caused havoc at the bar getting drunk and chucking drinks over people...

my nieces and nephews were all smoking drugs in the grounds and having a 'so what' attitude with me, leaving me in tears...

Why do we get these?! i can understand in the week running up to the wedding, but this far in advance?!?!

    I have had similar dreams.

Last night I dreamt the flowers that came were yellow instead of pink, the bottom of my dress was dirty and hardly anyone turned up! [:'(]

Oh bless, luckily I haven’t had any nightmares like that but I have had trouble sleeping since I put wedding head back on after Christmas…..just because I have soooooooooo much going on in my head with all the wedding planning AND just general life stuff!

Thankfully it isn’t stress based lack of sleep (yet) but more excited and just like ‘ooh I must remember to do that’ JUST as I am dropping off to sleep!

Flow they are pants arnt they. You get em cus your every thought is consumed by wedding this and wedding that ?

I have only had one or two, but they are bizzare to say the least. I suppose thats one good thing, at least the dreams are so far fetched that it is realy UNLIKELY to happen *gulp* ?

I had several nightmares. First me and my fiance appeared at the venue in our pyjamas because we had forgotten to buy clothes for the wedding.

The other night I dreamt that a friend of mine and her ex had a huge fight during the reception.

There was another one when I had forgotten to hire someone to do my hair and make-up but I only realize on the morning itself.

Is this something that control freaks (me) have, or everyone?

Oh dear! Have you written down things that need to be done? Why not start a planning list and add to it whenever things occur to you, it might help to clear your mind before you go to sleep.

Not sure about the 'unsavoury' or nieces & nephews tho! I'm sure they'll behave impeccably and you have no need to worry! x

I had my first wedding dream/nightmare last night!

I dreamt that i was at the venue trying to make bouquets out of random bunches of artificial flowers and i just coulnt do it! Then i noticed the time and it was half twelve and i had like and hour to get dressed get my hair and make up done, finnish the flowers, write place cards, and get to the church and i had that horrible pannicky feeling!

Needless to say i was glad when i woke up.

I've had a dream where when i'm walking down the aisle, I realise it isn't my OH at the end, but my tattoo artist. I carry on, as for some reason it didn't bother me, and instead of giving me a ring, he did me a tattoo. The tat was on my back, not my finger though. It was only when we were announced as husband and wife, that I realised the person marrying us was my OH.

It all seemed very normal. I haven't told OH this dream though, as he already thinks I have a crush on my tattoo artist.

I seem to be having at least one a week at the moment! Hope it wont carry on for the next 15 months! The latest was bad, i had literally 5 minutes to get ready for my wedding, including doing hair/make up and get changed. When i got to the church it was dark and they had locked the church doors on me! the cheek haha

I dreamt i turned up to the church 10 minutes late and my h2b and all the men decided to go swimming in the sea!!! (church is 2.5 hours away from any sea!!!) so i then traisped down to the beach in my undies because i didn't want him to see the dress and then had to wait till they swam back and then got dressed to find i had lost a shoe - at that point i woke up thank god!

Quite agree if i am going to have dreams please let them be nice ones!

    It's not good is it?

I had a dream the other day where I couldn't find elements of my outfit - garter and veil. I was crying and massively upset - haha.

So I have gone control freak and written a tick list for the week before and gotten little bags to put everything in.

Oh good glad i'm not the only one! I try not to do wedding stuff before i go to bed now. I had a wierd one about all the flowers now being there and being all wrong, it was one of those dreams that made no real sense.

Another we were getting married in france, but we'd forgotten to tell the photographer, or fill his paperwork in, but then he managed to turn up at the end of the day but was only photographing the guests not me, lol!

Another which was the most real was standing outside the ceremony room with my Dad and i started hyperventilating! aaaaah!

Hope they dont get worse the closer the dates gets lol.
