Wedding dress question?

My dress has been in the bridal shop since October. I paid £20 for them to look after it, and that means it's also insured against EVERYTHING (which it wouldn't be at home). They also deliver it to the alterations lady, cover it while it's there in case of any accidents, take it back to the shop then steam it and deliver it before my wedding day. Bargain price for all that service, especially as it means I don't have to stand guard to stop h2b from peeking!

My dress arrived in the shop at the start of March, I went to view it and they keep until the day before the wedding. I still need fitting ect... that they are arranging, so was best left with them.

I was lucky as they have a big shop and had room for storage, and it was not extra cost. It might be worth checking with your shop, as I know some don't always have the room to store the dress.

I paid for mine last January and it is still there, no storgae costs or anything, alterations are done in house to so it doesnt have to be moved other than when I come for my fttings and they do the alterations.

I ordered my dress in Aug 2009. It arrived Jan 2010. My wedding is June 2011. They've had it and still have it. I've had my final alterations done, all finished. I'll be trying it on again 2 weeks before. I'll be dropping off my suitcase for them and they will pack it up for me the day before I leave for Italy! It's all coming together and starting to feel real! HTH!

My wedding is in November so I chose to leave my final fitting until June. I'll take my dress home in Oct. Can't wait to get my hands on it!!!!
