Wedding dress shops in Sheffield or Manchester...

If you want something from the White Closet, you won't find anything comparable in Manchester. Closest nearby would be Amy Louise in Nantwich (if you want Claire Pettibone/Lynn Ashworth/Charlotte Balbier/David Fielding level stuff). Not sure about closer to Sheffield.

They did alterations on my dress and made all my bridesmaids dresses. My best mate has also bought her wedding dress from them. I believe it was £1000. My bridesmaids were £270 each made to measure.

Thanks for the suggestions, need to make appointments at them...been to a few others including the white closet, sense and sensibility, Maria modes, the wedding boutique and choola...starting to think once I consider alterations etc that I'm looking at shops out of my budget... Might book an appointment at the bridal basement in Liverpool...does anyone have suggestions for other discount or sample sale shops? X

Sorry I dont have any more shops to suggest but just wanted to say how great The White Closet was! Im going back there on Friday to try on again. Its such a lovely shop! x

There are loads in Sheffield... Francesca in city centre is where I got my dress from. The women there are lovely!!

Emily is really popular, thats just off ecclesall road, or the bridal house, pronuptia which are both on ecelesall road. Or there is blissful daze - but i think thats quite expensive.

Maybe try Love Bridal Boutique in Altrincham/Bowdon. It's a new boutique, it only opened last Thursday, but I visited on Saturday and it's lovely! The owner Emma is lovely and has done a fantastic job.

May I ask what dress you have seen as I love the Queen Anne Lace at The White Closet thats £1600 but they told me they are having a 10% off Claire Pettibone day in October which knocks a bit off. xx

It was a charlotte balbier at £1190 but with alterations including added sleeves and veil i like it was £1600 x

Ahhhh, I went on a Charlotte balbier hunt before i found the Claire Pettibone dress and went to Glamour Bridal and Prom in Bolton and 7th Heaven Bridal in Congleton, you never know maybe they can do it cheaper or the alterations cheaper? x
