Wedding dress worry

Hi!

We get married in 6 weeks and my dress has not come in to the shop yet. I wasn't really worried about it but the look of horror on peoples faces when I tell them I have not been fitted yet is starting to panic me! I contacted the shop about 4 weeks ago asking if they knew when it would roughly be here and they told me not to worry it will be here in time.

Is this normal? Do dresses normally come in this late in the game? I ordered it last August.

    Although I think some dresses come in sooner (around the 3month mark) I wouldn't worry yourself about it yet. I might be wrong but my shop said to come back a month before my wedding date for a fitting so when it gets to that you can pester them!

    I wouldn't say it's time to panic yet but I would probably be wanting an ETA from the dress shop by now. You last called 4 weeks ago - I don't think contacting them again now would be unreasonable.

    Fittings can be done in a couple of weeks so I wouldn't be worried about that but I would be wanting to know it's on its way by now.

    I *think* that's normal but I can understand why you're getting a bit tetchy! I would at least expect them to be telling you a delivery day, rather than have them say it'll be in 'on time'!

    My bridal shop have actually given me an estimated date of delivery (16 Jul!) and they got this direct from the designers when it was ordered, my dress is a Maggie but I would have thought Justin Alexander would do something similar as they must know us brides are ridiculous eager to see out actual dress! Hope you get sorted!
