Wedding Dresses

Peteroads, 11 November, 2009 at 11:51 Posted on Planning 0 6

Yo yo everybody,

we just got engaged and it was one of the highlights in my life and a very special moment for the both of us. i'm looking for a good peice of advise if someone could help. i need to do some research on wedding dresses in london and have come up with a few site and even have a few potential shops i have contacted. i would like to ask about the price range for a dress for my lovely fiance.

on http://www.partypop.co.uk/Categories/Wedding_Dresses/Greater_London.htm i found a company that provides really nice Sophia Tolli dresses. another site on http://www.yell.com/ucs/UcsSearchAction.do?keywords=wedding+dress&companyName=&location=london&ssm=0&scrambleSeed=83038832&M=0&x=0&y=0 said that a Jenny Packham, Maggie Sottero dress should be between £600-£1500. does this make sense to anybody here or is that the real price? have we looked at the most expensive dresses or are we dreaming that a wedding should be a cheaper event for some reason? how can i work out having a great wedding and work within a tight budget?

Firstly, Welcome to Hitched!! Congratulations to you both!!

If you Fiance doesn't mind wearing a second hand dress, she should check the Sale section on here. There are some gorgeous dresses, also the Bay of E have some great dresses. This price is about right for Maggie Sottero. I also have my heart set on one of her dresses.

Weddings can be expensive but you can save money by doing your own invites, decor, favors and even flowers!!

Good luck with the planning and we expect to see photo's!! x

Yes designer dresses can be very expensive. It doesn't have to be a designer dress though. And if she particularly wants a designer dress, maybe designer sales, end of stock sales can help? I have a brand new dress for sale on the for sale forum if you're interested? Congratulations by the way! x
