    Welcome to hitched Smiley smile

I bet the adults would appreciate a sweet jar just as much as the children Smiley winking

We were going to have edible favours but as we are having a candy cart in the evening we have chosen scratch cards or something like that.

    Welcome to hitched ?

I always think an edible favour is best & they never get left on the table- esp a home-made one. Some ideas:

Fudge, caramels, toffees, peanut brittle, marshmallows with toasted coconut, biscuits or gingerbread which can double as a place name, Oils or vinegars infused with chilli, garlic, rosemary, chutney, jam, jellies, rum balls, truffles, rocky road etc.

You could also do chocolates. Melt a plain choc (or toberlerone then you dont need to add other ingredients) then add either coconut, glace cherries, nuts, citrus peel, caramel pieces then pour into moulds.

I agree - adults love sweets just as much as kids. We just pretend we don't Smiley smile

We are having a tiffany themed wedding so our favours are tiffany style boxes tied with ivory ribbon and inside we're putting ring pops (google them) that way everyone gets their own diamond ring xx

    Hello and welcome to Hitched!

I'm giving different favours to the two young lads at our wedding. For our page boy he gets a box with gummy sweets, sherbet straws and jelly skeletons with pirate themed toys. For our other young guests (who was going to attend, then didn't want to, and has now been dumped on us on a whim!) I have brought a Spiderman goodie bag.

For the adults though, I have brought frosted glass tealight holders and made a little label with our names and date on. There is a rose-scented candle in each though for the top table I have used slightly nicer Yankee tealights in wedding day scent. We were going to use chocolates but we have lots of candles in our wedding and we both love aromotherapy, so we decided it had to be a nice glowy candle and a little bit 'smelly' lol. Plus people can re-use the tealight holder time and time again!

    MrsStobe13 xx
