My sister is getting married in mid-November, will cream Peonies be available that time of year?

They're not in season, there is a small chance you can get them but the quality really won't be that good so I wouldn't recommend them.

If it's the peony look you're after you could go for David Austen roses as an alternative but they are expensive.

Hi I'm getting married in July, having my bouquet is peonies, and all table centres/decoration hydrangeas. What flowers would you recommend for bridesmaids and buttonholes? All flowers are going to be white and I don't want any roses.

    Thanks!

    Hello!

I am getting married at the end of April and would like royal blue flowers (my bmaids are all in royal blue). What would you suggest for that time of year? I'd like something that is not too structured.

    Thank yooooooou!

    L.xx

Sorry for the delay - this site runs reallllly slow on my computer.

    answer to nrajw:

Nice choice of dress, I love the vintage look.

I'd probably be inclined to recommend ivory or cream for the bridesmaids then for you maybe a mixture of ivory & purple. Roses always work well, esp in the neutral colours. An "English Country" look would work well with your theme, there is a variety of lisianthus that's a lovely dark purple and would really well as an accent colour.

It might be worth visiting an antique fair or market to see if you can pick up a vintage looking brooch - it would look fab on the bouquet handle over the ribbon.

A couple of options - hydrangea would work well for the bridesmaids bouquets. Alternatively you could go for mini gerberas, they look really cute for bridesmaids and that way you could also use them for the buttonholes.

Purrfect_gems ..... yes it is possible to preserve callas, they tend to hold up much better than other flowers without water. I don't have any experience with preserving flowers so with timescales I'm not too sure, I'd have thought a couple of days would be fine though. A few of my brides have had bouquets preserved in the past, let me know if you want me to look up who they used.

Blue is one of those nightmare colours, it's difficult to find a flower that is naturally that colour. There are some lovely varieties of hydrangea but none in a true royal blue colour. Another option would be to have muscari which are kind of like a mini hyacinth, they are small so you'd need to mix it in with other flowers but if you brought in ivory shades as well it would look good.
