Wedding Insurance?

teacup, 31 January, 2012 at 15:17 Posted on Planning 0 9

Does anyone know of a decent wedding insurance company? I have looked online and it seems they all have bad reviews. ? Any personal experiences or friends/relatives experiences will be helpful! Thanks xx

My auntie got married last year and used Debenhams although she didnt have to make a claim.

We have just bought ours with Dreamsaver weddings. I hope we dont need to claim either! I did research a few companies and I couldnt find a bad review of this company so I suppose thats a good thing!

Or is it too late? Wedding is pretty much planned and paid for (about £18,000 cripes!) and July this year.

Wow thanks for all your replies! ? I might go with Debenhams. They seem quite expensive but at least I know they are a big company that aren't going bust anytime soon. Although I heard that Ecclesiatical were one of the only companies that paid out when the 'Wrapit' gift list company went bust. My sister had Wrapit for her gift list and they lost all their gifts because Wrapit went bankrupt. She didn't have insurance though... but it sounds like it might not have helped from some of the reviews I have read.

You need to check the small print. We went with debenhams because they covered our stuff already booked.

No it isn't too late to get Wedding insurance! If I spent 18,000 I would definitely get it! Our spending is only reaching £6,000 max. Most of the minimum policies cover much more than we're spending so I'm a little confused as to what to go for.
