Wedding perfume...

My brother got me 'sex in the city - lust' for my wedding so i could a new scent that reminded me my wedding. sod's law i had a cold and couldn't smell anything!. This wasn't helpful but i felt like sharing

I have a few favourites but have always loved black XS and black xs l'exces and my new find was Lancôme - La vie est belle which I think i'll wear on the big day!

I'm a bit torn over this! I have my favourite perfume (Vera Wang Original) that I was planning to wear, but MF randomly bought me The One by D&G years ago on our first Christmas and all my family laughed when I opened it wondering if he was giving me a message! He's bought it for me ever since and it's my regular perfume. I don't know what to choose, but feel I should wear 'our' one!

I was thinking this the other day.I have two in mid. One is a new one which I love and the other one is one my fiance buys me all the time! Decisions decisions. I just don't know whether I want to wear my everyday perfume if that makes sense?x

I've thought about this and I think I'll probably just wear my usual (Angel). I think I want to smell like 'me', so to speak.

I shall make a note of mentioned fragrances and will try them when i next go into Bham. Im in 2 minds whether to stick with Miss Dior or wear something new for the day as i like the idea of it being associated just with the wedding. Im useless at making decisions and even worse at finding perfume i love !

I love miss Dior and also love the Chloe one. OH and I are buying something for each other so it's a surprise and we will have a smell each that reminds us of the day.

Oooohh that's a nice idea, i would have to lead oh to certain ones though else gawd knows what i would smell like haha x

Well yeh, this is what I'm trying to do, I leave magazine sample things around of ones I really like. He appreciates direction but I don't want to feel like I chose it!

My favourite is vera wang princess but I rarely rarely buy it.

Might purchase a bottle especially for my wedding and will be reminded of mynday everytime I smell it x

I went perfume sniffing today...I've gone for Dolce edp by D&G. It's light and lovely...and it's in a pretty bottle!!

A long time ago i used to wear L'eau D'issey by Issey Miyake so might add that to list but it wouldnt be a totally new one.

I'm going to stick to something I already have, I'll probably wear Jo Malone - earl grey and cucumber a it's quite light and fresh.

All my perfumes have a very similar smell anyway, Ghost Sweetheart, Next Gold, Britney Spiers Midnight Fantasy, Angel, Lady Gaga, Niki Minaj (for some reason I have a thing for perfumes by celebrities I can't stand!). My wedding day perfume is Guerlain Le Petite Robe Noir which, although it's a new perfume does smell "me" because it has similar fragrance to my other perfumes.

I also wear Angel and, although I'd like to try something else, I do want to smell like 'me' so think I'll probably stick with it!

Thanks for this thread ladies, I have just recently been thinking what to do about perfume myself. I wear Flowerbomb (& my OH just loves, loves, loves it on me)....however, I really do fancy a new perfume but would want it to smell similar to Flowerbomb....can anyone suggest anything?

I don't have a particular scent, I tend to change with each bottle because it's been given to me as a present or just because I like to try different scents. I bought Daisy by Marc Jacobs and I'm in love with it, it's subtle enough to smell but in no way overpowering and has the right balance of floral and sweet scents.

I'll be wearing Hypnotic Poison by Dior, its my favourite and OH loves it, I wore it on our first date and it reminds him of that.

I usually wear Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh for everyday but don't think it's long-lasting enough for wedding day. I'm going to wear Dior J'adore as I love it, and also have some shower gel and body lotion somewhere so can go for full on layering

Was going to start a thread about this exact subject too... I currently wear Nina Ricci or Delicious - both very similar and bought by OH. But I think they smell a little too strong and fruity. OK for day to day use but want something a little more elegant for the wedding. Will take notes about all the ones mentioned in here and go shopping once pay day comes around.

I wanted to go with my favourite (chance by chanel) but ran out of that a long time ago and cant afford another bottle right now, so going with my second favourite. Lola by Marc Jacobs x

I'll probably stick with my favorite 'Rock'n'Rose' by Valentino - I fell in love with it around the same time I fell in love with the OH so it seems appropriate. He's never bought me perfume and I doubt he'll even consider it before the wedding so it's as close to romantic as I can get lol

Definitely - I love it too. I wear Angel Lily in the summer, but I'm getting married in January. Once many years ago, when I was single, I was stood at a bar when a girl stood next to me said that she recognised the smell of Angel on me cos a girl she was in love with always wore it. On reflection I'm pretty sure she was coming on to me. I have no idea why I didn't do anything about it...

Chanel Chance for me – I’m really rubbish with perfumes, but my sister bought me this for the wedding.

I love Black XS! I have one bottle at home and one at work! I really like YSL Parisienne aswell, its very pretty. I've thought about getting a new one but I hate trying to find it, I know what I want to find but when I go into a perfume shop I just feel like I'm inconveniencing them and end up buying something I dont really want!!

My OH and I wore the same perfume on our first date, It was a bit odd as I'd only bought it that day and it was one of those smells that you just can't get enough of (like you just want to drink it!!) and even though i was wearing it, I could smell it on her.

I defo want her to wear it on our WD but not so sure if I should wear it too or something else ... it's Dior Hypnotic Poison. Beautiful. I wear it now if I need an extra spring in my step - it's the only perfume we share, we have our own 'smells' but that smell seems to be 'us' if that makes sense?

Oh .. I've just thought of a lovely photo op! You know the photo's of holding hands round a door or corner before the ceremony? Like this one ...

we could have a photo of her handing me the perfume around a door like that. Oh, it's just made me well up!

Thank you all I knew there was something else i needed to do sort out perfume, the only thing is i dont like a lot of the perfumes around,i have allergies and a lot of them give me a headache, the only perfume i have worn is channel but not sure if any of them or simlar i would like a light smell if that makes sense any help on this would be appreciated....
