What would you consider to be cheap? Giving an indication of budget might help with suggestions Smiley smile

There is a group of togs in the sub 500 criteria. Do though choose carefully. Look at previous work similar to what you are seeking, check exactly who the tog is, that they have insurance and like for like camera back up in case of failures(does happen).

If your budget finds a bit more legroom, I do have some suggestions for your area.....

I agree, There are some fair sig size rules around somewhere.

*If a mod wants to dig them out that would be helpful*

The cheapest photographer I've seen in the area has been Lisa Cowen (who I found in the supplier listings). The price on her website is £599, but she says she's flexible- maybe she's worth a call/ email? (Although TBH most of the wedding photographers I've seen have been significantly more than that so I imagine you'd be pretty lucky)

Sorry if the signature size offended anyone, hitched was playing up when I was trying to update it and the signature box kept showing as blank.

I hadn't realised it had actually saved (and at such a size).

No need to dig out fair rules, point taken guys....I shall give myself a slap on the wrist and refrain from not checking up on hitched blips in future.

If your on a very tight budget, then £400 is completely understandable, however if your simply looking to 'save' money on the photographer to put elsewhere, then I hope your sure about your budget prioritisation, for example spending £400 on a photographer and £450 on a car for the day probably wouldn't be a good move imo.

After the wedding, the photographs are pretty much all you have to look back on, I just hope you realise this and value them appropriately.

It's better the spend a grand on a decent tog than hire a budget one, a popcorn machine and a photo booth.

I've gone to weddings where couples have said they were on a budget and there's a close up magician, a candy bar, a chocolate fountain, a photo booth and a band + dj.
