Wedding Planning

Kayleigh2012, 26 October, 2009 at 16:40 Posted on Journalist Seeking... 0 9

Hey ladies,

My names Kayleigh and I am based in the Birmingham area. I currently work as a teacher in my local area and love my job. However, I am loving planning my own wedding and for the past few months both myself and a friend have been discussing the idea of a wedding planning business. Now i am not trying to advertise my services on this site, this isnt an advertisement for our business. However, we are trying to gain more experience and have decided that we will offer ourselves to brides (within a reasonable distance) a free bespoke wedding planning service. I wont post my email address on here, as that will be advertising - it has the business name in it. But if you are interested and would like some more information - of which i have a lot of - then send me your email address and we will take it from there. We are genuine people who want to give you a hand - however big or small your wedding is.

Smiley smile

Don't need a wedding planner (I love it) just thought I would say hi, as I am also a teacher (sussex) who would much rather plan weddings than teach. would be good to know how you get on, in fact how you go about doing it. Also sooo funny at your over use of the would 'however', I do exactly the same thing, I use it constantly (much me a teacher thing - lol.)

Lol oops dont even realise that im doing it Charlied!! Thanks for raising it though! Just thinking of going down a different route, dont hate teaching at all just thinking of different jobs out there that i could do. Been operating since June but you know what its like once you get back to work, completely lose the will to live and dont seem to do anything at the moment other than mark, plan, shout and cry!!

I know what you mean. I've been awake since 6 this morning, thinking tht got to go back to work next week, thats so wrong. Don't hate my job either but really starting to question exactly what I do want to do. Well done you for taking the bull by the horns and actually doing something about it. I've just got to find what it is I want to do. arghhhhh!

If its not too much bother, keep me posted with how it all goes.

Scary time to be changing job though. I heard 30% of people change job after a recession, not in the middle of one!

Thanks ladies for all your best wishes.

Not entirely sure how to take the one above this one...my mom is helping me pay for my wedding yes, i am her only daughter, i am very close to my mom and there is only me working. Im not sure whether your message is one of genuine good luck or whether you are being sarcastic

I'm not changing jobs. I am not quiting my job to do this job, i still work full time. I still work 40 hours a week and thats not counting the hours i put in when i get home from work. I am the only one working, my other half is unemployed bt at college doing an electricians course (and no he doesnt claim benefits)

I'm not stupid enough to leave my job in the middle of a recession and not knowing how well this wedding planning business is going to go
