wedding post box

thefuturemrsclarke, 12 February, 2010 at 19:48 Posted on Planning 0 20

i have been looking at this over on fleabay, however they are described as wishing wells which i dont want although in my opinion this isnt 1. i was looking at a traditional post box but they all seem to big. this is more of a nice size isnt it? or is this part of a wishing well after all. somebody please correct me?

Hiya, that is a chest style post box, not wishing well or part of one. Hope that helps ?

I went for a 2ft miniature traditional post box with the "ER" symbol on it ?, just to be different ?, doesn't matter what people think, it's what your happy with ?

I have that exact one tfmc!

It's a fair size and good quality (though I'm not 100% how it goes together yet! lol!). I'm not sure how secure it could be made though if that helps?

    ?

Yeah, I got it from ebay as well. It's ok. It's nothing special but it does the job and is a reasonable price for the job it does! It wasn't something I wanted to spend a lot of money on (although I know a lot of people keep theirs as a keepsake box so it would suit 2 purposes and therefore might be worth spending a little more iyswim?)

The card seems fairly sturdy but, like I say, don't expect too much! If you are thinking along the lines of 'suits a purpose to collect cards in the dark' then go for it. If you want something special then I would spend a little more.

Personally I think the taller ones are better for practical reasons. Some cards can be quite large and with the chest style could be a problem, but thats just my opinion.

I dont think anyone will think you are being greedy at all. I only stock the larger (tall) type and they are very popular.

Having said that, that one is very pretty so i would go with what you feel ?

I agree with Andrea but found a lovely different type Wedding Post Box

I love the second one in the list but not sure if I want to spend that much.

Hi, this is lovely. Do you mind me asking where you bought the box from? was it difficult to do?

It was from a craft fair and they made it for me while I waited Smiley smile

We're using our van as our car so it was perfect!

I think you can find them if you search lap desks on google but i don't know the actual company sorry!
