Wedding Reading Help!!

sjgr, 11 July, 2011 at 21:41 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi

I am trying to find a reading for my sister to read at our wedding and i'm struggling to find anything i like that a friend hasn't used recently. I really like A Lovely Love Story by Edward Monkton (the one about the two dragons) and i also really like Yes I'll Marry You by Pam Ayres, but both of these have been used by friends recently. Any suggestions? I wondered about Love Monkey by Edward Monkton but i can't find the text on the web anywhere.

Any help gratefully received, we have to make our choice by Mid August and i'm struggling!

Thank you

S

It's usually at this point I dig out the old faithful Hampshire Council Registrars website - https://www3.hants.gov.uk/marriage - point people to the 'ceremony' tab and tell them to scroll to the bottom where they can download a PDF of their suggested readings.

We're using "I will be there" as our additional vows, which we're reading between us, and "Thank you my soul mate" done by one of my b2b's work colleagues.

Can't find "Love Monkey" either I'm afraid, I did find one poem called that but I'm 99.999% sure it wasn't the one you meant as it was rather adult in content.
