I was thinking about that myself. I think I'd like to have a run through just so everyone knows where to stand etc. We're all staying in the hotel the night before so might just see if we can pop down to the room and have a quick run through ourselves.

I don't think you do have a rehearsal when it's not a church. We're getting married and having the reception in the same place and I asked the venue's co-ordinator about the rehearsal and she said it's not required.

Ooh good question! I hadn't thought about that, have you thought about asking your venue? That's my plan ?

I'd be careful about what you'll be charged to have for a rehearsal. Our registrars charge £120 for a rehearsal, and some venues make you hire the room for an hour. We're not bothering, for a simple civil ceremony it's hardly worth it. However, I will be briefing and rehearsing my BMs at home, and getting my son to rehearse his speech.

I really want a rehearsal but our wedding venue coordinator hasn't mentioned it at all.

I don't want a major one, just brief walk through so everyone knows where we will have to stand, especially for the kids. I also need to see it so I know timings of entrance song etc..

but then I am a little OCD on detail sometimes! ?

    Hi

i know when my brother got married a couple of years ago they thidnt have one. We are also going to be in the venue the night b4 so might just pop in to the room and point out where wveryone should sit or stand.

then on the morning of the wedding im going to make sure someone takes my 2 flower girls to the room for a walk through as they will be 4 and 7 and i dont want them to be over whelmed in a strange situation!
