Well finally got back from the honeymoon and though its only been two weeks it already feels like it all happened ages ago:I'm going to keep this brief! (flashes below)
So here goes:
Day before:
Spent the entire day running around, getting nails done, table plan printed and packing for the honeymoon, family all came in the afternoon (I live 60 miles away from the rest of the family) and we went out for a nice meal, then more packing! - Mr Keltic finally left the house at 11:55pm.
The big day:
Despite the original forecast of snow it was a beautiful warm sunny day: woohoo! probably not your normal bride behaviour but after getting up at 7am i ended up doing last minute cleaning, hoovering etc, not at all nervous - I even put washing out on the line! Everyone commented I was the calmest bride they have ever seen. I spent most of the morning organising everyone else, telling bridesmaid when to get ready and dressed my flower girl. finally wen't up to get ready myself and ended up reminding my mother she had to get changed herself!
Finally the cars arrived (2pm) and we went to the venue ( still not nervous) and ended up hanging around outside for about 15 mins because my flower girl decided she needed the loo at the last minute: eventually we got inside and the indiana jones theme started playing for me to walk down the aisle. (had it as surprise for my father so that he would forget about being nervous and smile!)
Ceremony was fine although Mr Keltic was complete opposite of me and very nervous (stiff as a board for the entire ceremony!)
Really enjoyed the day, and everything was perfect: the room was set up exactly as I would have wanted it and with the sun shining we got some lovely photos on the beach next to the venue.
The next day:
a bit of a mad dash, had breakfast at the venue with all our guests, brought everything home and had a mad dash about before getting the train to gatwick for the honeymoon, where completely unbeknownst to either of us beforehand, I'd managed to book exactly the same honeymoon in cuba as my lovely date twin trixylou so we had an unexpected unofficial mini hitched meet! probably to the dissapointment of our new husbands who thought they had finally got us away from the 'bridezilla website'
Now for the pictures:
Me with my sister getting ready: (big thanks to Purrfect Gems (Lynsey) for my tiara)
