That really depends on what you want. I got ours from H Samuel as I had a weekend job there and had 30% discount!

We like the plain bands, I have 18ct white gold engagement ring so will match that with the wedding ring.

This! They're brilliant and very good value compared to high street.

I've heard good things about Alba Rose also

Make sure you try some on - can be at a high street jewellers or wherever - before you buy; you may need/want to have a shaped band so that it sits next to your ER nicely; if this is the case, speaking as a jeweller, there aren't many places cheaper than Alba Rose Smiley smile

You could also have them made bespoke by someone like me who works in a little workshop in Hatton Garden, or the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, or anywhere else you can find one - we're everywhere, like mice Smiley tongue

And if you want just a traditional plain, d-shaped band, then high street is also a good option

I got my ring this weekend – it was ordered in so picking it up on Thursday eeek – I was in Bluewater and Leslie Davis were having a 25% off as the shop is closing down. They are part of Ernest Jones group so all guarantees / warranties still stand. Couldn’t argue with £99 off.

My OH is getting his ring from Alba Rose – going to order it this week.

I have fat fingers (!) so need a size V, the only place my H2B could find an engagement ring (other than ordering/having it made specially) of this size was Argos and it's a beautiful ring, I love it (and it doesn't look cheap, which is what I was worried about being from Argos!

    *** AVOID H SAMUELS ***

We Ordered both ours from H Samuels, But have had nothing but trouble, with my Husbands.

When the Photographer asks for your wedding rings you dont expect to see this...Considering its less than 3Hrs Old.
Wouldnt say much about the service in the H Samuels we went into either.

My OH is in the RAF and bought my ER as a surprise when he was away on detachment in Dubai. Its 18ct WG and has four large diamonds on each shoulder with one large on in the middle. I say large, I didnt think they were very big but when we went to a wedding fair 2 weeks ago, there was a WR supplier whose normal sized plain bands looked pitiful next to my ER. Also, Ive been told by many MANY people that if you have two rings next to each other of different gold carats then the softer or higher grade will get worn away by the harder lower grade gold. When I went to this WF on the weekend the supplier said it was rubbish and that the stockist just wants you to spend more money ???? Thoughts?

Different carats of metal *do* have different hardnesses and over time, the harder one will rub away at the softer one.

However - this would take a long time to have any damaging impact - what it will do in the shorter term is cause scuffing on the softer ring. It's only really a problem if you have stones in claw settings, as they are very thin already; I've had to repair my mother's ER which has worn away - but it too 35 years to do that Smiley smile

There's also the fact that the metals will look different next to each other (but that's not always a bad thing!)
