Wedding shoes (or lack of!)

Saracroft251, 18 March, 2010 at 11:35 Posted on Planning 0 18

I am really fussy when it comes to shoes, I like what I like and I am afraid that I don't like traditional bridal shoes at all.

I had wanted some v v nice louboutin shoes but I decided that the price was ridiculous, I then ordered some Vivienne Westwood lovelies which were very different, but they squeaked like hell so I returned them, instead I found these bargainous beauties from Faith, I heard that Faith had a 20% off day today and went online to buy them. They only have a size 9 available so I call head office, they have sold out and will not be continuing them. I have called so many stores and no where has a pair - so I cant have them. They were such a bargain at £55. I have even tried ebay for them.

Now I don't know what to do, ? I cannot find any other shoes that I like and I have looked at every shoe company there is, rainbowclub, paradox, ellie bridal, Diane Hassal, Dune, LK bennet, Next, Perditas, Jones, Moda in Pelle. I have considered non bridal shoes but I don't like any of the ones in the shops at the moment. I have to find some shoes in the next 10 weeks as I have my fittings in June, I have been to every single shop and I hate all the shoes, they are fugly. I am sick of shoe shopping.

What am I meant to do now, there is no where left to look and the new collections have all come out and I don't like them? Is there some fabulous shoe shop that I may have overlooked?

Dam you woman - i love them beauties but they look a little high for me - im quite tall and in big heels i would look like a lanky monster next to my OH so i am having the same issues as you in that i love all the shoes i just cant have - ESP CL's but they are all too high for me - CRY!

I have also looked everywhere and havnt seen anything i like!

I am therefore thinking of having coloured shoes instead..... is that an option for you?

Also if i was going for Ivory i think that i would have a problem in that i wouldnt find the perfect colour ivory to match my dress - as you know i am VVVVVVV fussy!

Saracroft, have you tried Jimmy Choo? They've got some nice ones in neutral colours at the moment.

You're right about CL though. Always very high. I live in them for meetings so used to the height but wanted something lower for all of the dancing on our wedding day as well as making sure I'm still shorter than H2B in the photos!

Steelgoddess - have you seen these in New Look? They are better in real life than in the picture too. Saw them this morning and thought the colour was lovely.

I've got my shoes on order from Bespoke Big Day. Certainly pricier than the high street but you choose the fabric, colour & heel height and they have a wide range of shoes too. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted anywhere so they have been a blessing.
