Suzanne from Prettywild, www.prettywild.co.uk, is making ours and her prices are very reasonable. I don't have any pictures yet as she still has to design them but I can't wait to see what she comes up with.

I was going to make them but have decided that spending £120 on stationery is well worth it to save my sanity.

I made all mine for under £50: 30 save the date magnets, 60 invitations, thank you cards & place cards, 12 menus, 1 table plan.

I think most places are around 50p-£1 each for cards, place cards are easier to buy in packs and write the names on yourself. You can get table plan kits for £10. Check what your venue supplies first.

It really depends if you know what you want, and just want to find the best deal on it, or if you feel your budget has to dictate what you have style/design wise.

I made my own stationery back in 2007 mainly because I wanted what seemed to be one of the most expensive options at the time - diamante buckles and pocketfolds/envelopments. I simply refused to pay what people wanted to charge me!

Cost savers whether you do it yourself or not is to have lower cost evening invitations as they are the ones most likely not to be kept as a keep sake (if you're having a day/evening guest list of course!) .... I did this and it meant I could spend more on the invitations for my family and close friends who would mostly keep them!

You can get some really good deals with DIY stuff online if you shop around, but depending on what you want it can work out just as reasonable to have someone else do it when you take into consideration the time/stress factor!

I ordered mine as I have the creative capabilities of a four year old. I ordered from Libra Designs, the Georgia design which they modified to the type of font I wanted and matched to my colour scheme. I think it is costing about £400, for which I have save the dates, invitations, a guest book, and place names (about 60 guests). Gosh it seems a lot when I say it like that! But I have paid for it bit by bit when we have need the various bits of stationary, and it is so worth it as they are gorgeous and so much better than I ever could have done! But depends on your budget and how artistic you are - I am not at all artistic or practical, but if you are you can make nice invitations quite cheaply.
