Wedding Stationary - I dont like ANY!!!!

Emotionalwreck2013, 14 August, 2012 at 11:01 Posted on Planning 0 11

Considering I am extremely organised and have pretty much decided on everything. I cant seem to find any invitations or wedding stationary that I like..

I am looking for something elegant but with a cheap price tag Smiley smile

Does the order of service, menu etc HAVE to match your invites??

I got mine from this seller on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150522390240?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 I ended up buying loads of samples from different sellers. I didn't want to spend a fortune on invites and the quality is so much better than some of the other samples that cost much more.

I don't think they have to be an exact match as long as they all tie in nicely.

In my case, yes everything matched! But no, there are no rules!

I don't think everything has to match perfectly! I certainly have never expected a wedding menu to be of the same design as the invitation I receieved.

I also found a lot of good suppliers on eBay for wedding stationary. Good luck! x x x

Do you mean that you can't find any you like in your price range or that you literally haven't seen any invitations you like?

Your invitations do not have to match your OOS, menu etc.

I made my invitations for less than £1 each. Evening invites much less (fourth pic)

I also made my OOS, menus etc and they sort of matched but didn't.

It doesn't have to - its up to you. The only bit of stationery we had done professionally were the actual invites, then my Dad has designed menus and orders of service in a similar style but obviously they won't be of the same quality as the professional ones. The stationery wasn't all that important to me though, so it depends on your priorities.

What is your budget? Maybe some hitchers can recommend suppliers?

    None of our stationary matched!

If a guest turned up with their invite, RSVP envelope, Order of Service, place-card and menu, laid them out and started nit-picking. I would tell them to bog-off and that they couldn't have any dinner.

    Honestly, don't stress.

With regards to price. I don't think you can beat Vistaprint, even if DIYing.

OH thats alright then, I just thought I would check!

I dont really want to spend anymore than £1.50 per invite, I dont see the point spending £3+ for something that is just going to get put in a draw or something...

Ideally I just want a postcard sized invite, nothing too fancy, something easy to read and easy to put on the fridge Smiley smile

Kharv, those invites are amazing. I wished I was creative!

They were honestly easy as pie - just time consuming rather than difficult.

If all you're looking for is one postcard sized invite then I really would suggest either designing it yourself and printing on nice card at home, or using vistaprint.

I would suggest paying for matte card from Vistaprint rather than getting the glossy though.

Do you want colours, or would you be happy with black print on nice card like a linen effect?

you could easily add a nice bow to the top or something, or a strip of ribbon? Loads of things you could do - feel free to PM me if you want a hand. More than happy to throw a few ideas around!
