Wedding Theme

Beefzoid, 7 January, 2013 at 19:57 Posted on Planning 0 7

Finally decided on a 'theme'

As we are getting married in the summer months i was aiming for the english country garden theme, lots of pale pink and highly scented roses, delicate ivory and cream roses with pearls...

I want a very soft, delicate and pretty 'theme', with a cream birdcage posting box with a pale pink garland or roses, on the top table to candelabras drapped in pink and ivory roses and pearls, then the main centre pieces in hurricane vases, with pink and ivory roses/candles (not completely decided on them) with tea lights, and petals scattered on the table.

(Well thats my vision)

BUT...

I'm not having any bridesmaids, but i do have a MOH... now im planning on an off white/ ivory dress. The other colour is pale pink, my MOH is very blonde and pale so her in a pale pink dress would look ridiculous! Even she agrees that pale pink is not her colour...

Has anyone any suggestions????

Would she suit a green? I think green and pink can be nice together.

I think a nice mocha colour would match in well with the pale pink?

Sounds like a similar colour scheme to mine- we had dusky pink, champagne and brown. Could one of those work?

The green on the mocha sounds good, anything pale will just blend into her, i dont want her looking washed out in the pics... think of sharon in easterders.. thats what she looks like...

    Hi,

What about a champagne/coffee coloured dress which would go nicely with a vintage and lace theme.

    It all sounds so pretty.

    hope that helps

I second pale dusky pink, it looks beautiful with blonde hair. Don't know if you'd mind the two tone pink though. Alternatively, you could go for a notably darker pink? So it's like shade contrast?
