wedding transport?

Hey everyone, we seem to be having a bit of a mare in trying to find a car company,

The bride to be will be at her mums in islington, which is also where the wedding venue is(about a mile from her house max)

the reception in by stanstead at the whitehall hotel, we've tried a few car companies in essex and they have said they don't cover the london area, and the only guy we asked(near ours in hitchin) tried to get us to change the venue and the church so he could as he put it 'drive us round the block to get away from our guests for half an hour' then back to the same place....

if it helps we are looking for an older styled car.

Right - firstly, how much are you looking to spend?

secondly, do you want the car for bride (ie go to the bride's mum, take to venue close by and then take bride and groom to reception?) or do you want it for you (take you from hitchin to islington and then back to hitchin with your bride?)

finally, do you want the car to take you home at the end of the eve or are yo only needing it to get there?

Oh - and when for???

I have been searching high and low for a car company and they range from £250 - £2000 so it really does depend on what you are after.

I was after a vintage taxi and there are som good deals about. you need to keep your eyes peeled and grab them if you find your perfect solution. most will accept a deposit if its more than two months prior. good luck

I guess i should have put some more info up lol,

pricewise we'd like to spend about £500 maximum, it would take the bride to be to the church then the pair of us up to the reception, we'll be staying at the hotel next to the reception for the night, it's in july next year so hoping to book things up in advance!
