I know its so hard, part of me thinks that I want to wait till closer to the time and see what the weather is like, the crazy organised part of me is having a mini meltdown at the prospect of leaving anything to the last minute!!

Hee hee, I am going to see a bit closer to the time plus talk to the photographers?!? I have seen a thing for bulk buying. I am normally very unorganised in my private life ?

Do they have to be "wedding" ones? A brolly is a brolly, no?

Do you think we can trick the weather by being prepared, mother nature loves us wasting money??!?

Umbrella! I'm a great believer in Sods Law - If you have the brolly's you probably won't need them - but if you don't have them it will piddle down. I'm using this approach for my wedding but as its in June and the risk of rain is hopefully low I just bought some cheap, clear plastic brollys from the Range.

I justified the £15 per umbrella that I want to spend to the OH by saying that we can sell them after! I know cant seem to get the stupid thing to work. x

Just check your photographer hasnt got one first! We met with ours the other night and when I mentioned it she said she has 2 that she brings to weddings. Will save you ££ if you hopefully dn't need to use it ?

I'm getting married tomorrow and have bought two ivory umbrellas as I was convinced it was going to rain, but by the looks of it they will be staying in their packaging. I'll be trying to sell them when I get back from honeymoon if you're interested

June wedding in one of the wettest towns in England... But decided I CBA with wedding umbrellas so I've asked various parents/friends to bring large golfing type umbrellas if they have them, and I picked up a substantial union jack number (well it is the jubilee year and in the run up to the Olympics) for £2.99. If it's wet, photos will be indoors anyway!
