Wedding Undies!

abbijay, 13 July, 2011 at 13:38 Posted on Planning 0 14

Ladies, can you give me some suggestions of where to go shopping for wedding undies? The bra has got to be strapless with minimal padding (my dress corset is well padded ?) but I'd like a choice of more than 1 in a shop. I am willing to treat myself to a nice set as I've saved money on a few parts of my outfit.

I'm based in South Cheshire so Manchester/Chester/Liverpool/Stoke areas are preferred (no London specialists please, I can't justify £100 on the train too) and I'd like to go into a shop rather than internet it.

Big thanks!

I got mine from M and S. They have a lovely bridal range. I ordered mine online though.

Do you really need a bra if your dress is structured and padded? I go to any of the big department stores.

My bra needed to be the same specification as yours - I got a gorgeous set from Debenhams in the wedding section... very reasonably priced as well.

The ladies in the shop were very helpful- I described what I needed and they walked me and my mum round picking up potential bra sets as we went.

    Good Luck finding one

I wasn't going to buy a new one, as I have perfectly good one at home which is very rarely used, but I thought why not, treat myself and whilst I'm at it, get measured up properly.

Good job I did, as I was one of the many women in the UK who has worn the wrong bra size for a number of years now. Bought mine from Debenhams, the lady in the changing room was lovely and very patient, constantly nipping out to bring back different bras- she did say though that depending on what make of bra you buy, the size can differ ever so slightly, so I would definitely advise you to get measured at the same time.
