Wedding Venue

Angelluvspink, 18 January, 2013 at 12:32 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi everyone I am new to this site and just wanted to ask about wedding venues.

Does anyone know of any venues with their own grounds in Cheshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire or Yorkshire? My fiance and I are not looking to spend more than £6k on the venue, all in.

Thanks

    Hi Angela,

You should totally spend time looking through the wedding venues section on hitched...

    https://www.hitched.co.uk/wedding-venues/

They are all broken down by county for you...making the search easier, and sometimes venues will promote their special offer or 'all in' package on their listing too...making it easier for you to find something within your budget.

Let us know what you end up finding.

Are you registered to receive our special offers newsletters?

    Hi Fran

Thanks for the advice. I have done as you suggested and had a look under various counties and have found a few venues that I have priced up/requested further information from. Some are gorgeous but unfortunately over our budget. At the moment we have gone to see 4, have discounted 3 and like 1 (Shaw Hill Golf & Country Club in Chorley). We still have a few more to see yet before we make our decision Smiley smile

I don't think I have registered for your newsletter - how do I do this?

I just mean we would like nice grounds for photographs and somewhere that is a bit secluded not right next to a road or with just a car park outside!!

You'll want something like a private hall type thing Smiley smile Sorry I don't know the areas well so don't have specific suggestions.

Dovecliff Hall is lovely - in Rolleston, Derbys. It's everything you ask for although I'm not sure on the price ?

We're getting married at http://thegrangethorntonhough.com/ but at the moment, their website is being revamped. Anyhow, we picked it because it was the only place we could afford to marry with the number of guests we have. It's working out about £50 per head for reception drink, 3 course meal with wine, toast drink and evening buffet. The room hire is something like £200 for the ceremony. There is a car park but also a big garden and the venue is surrounded by field. There's a large pond in the ground, which parents should be wary of.
