Hi all,

i am getting married in march next year (2014) and was wondering if anyone could offer advice on any wedding venues in the lancashire area?

i wont be getting married until 4pm therefore would only be looking for an evening reception? ( i will be getting married in a church) i also want a very informal wedding as i am a no fuss type of girl.

    Hi Kezzi,

    Do you want a Hotel so you have room for guests? Rural or Town ? Where is the church you want to use or are we looking for something with a nearby church too?

    Hi jules, i am not fussed, hotel, golf course etc is fine, and any area, church is in skelmersdale, so looking at maybe chorley/standish/st helens/warrington, them sort of areas?

    We went to look at Shaw Hill in Chorley, and we really liked that. Also Ashfield house hotel in Standish was nice but too small for us.

    Eccleston Park Golf Club in St Helens looks quite nice, although I haven't been to see it.

    We settled on Haigh Hall in the end, they do an evening reception option, but might be too formal for you possibly if you are looking for informal.

    Maybe a Marquee would be a better option, or a village hall if you are looking for informal? Although I wasn't able to find anywhere to put a marquee in the area Smiley sad
