Wedding Venue Help - Teesside & North East!!

kittyk23, 7 June, 2012 at 12:52 Posted on Planning 0 2

I really need your help and advice...

I'm looking for a venue in Teesside / North East where I can have afternoon tea then a BBQ on the night. I love the idea of a relaxed garden party type feel to the day. I've seen a lovely venue but they do these type of days midweek only at £50 a head, bit too pricy for me!

Any help and advice will be much appreciated!

    Hi Kirsty, welcome to hitched!!

How about the Ramside in Durham? they have been really accomodating with my bridesmaid who's getting married there next year.

My OH and I just got hitched ay Wynyard Hall but i'm not sure they'll do anfternoon tea in place of a wedding breakfast. Deffo do BBQ's tho so might be worth a look, the place is amazing ❤️

There are a few venues i will list, worth seeing.

    Headlam hall

    Hall Garth Hall Darlington

Hurworth Grange (kind of a do it yourself venue)

    Blackwell Grange

    Whinstone View

Judges (and i know they have a bbq area)

    Gisborough hall

Danby Castle - Very rural but lovely rustic venue

    Bannatynes

    Rushpool hall

    Grinkle Park

Ramside hall (not sure its what you would be after)

Hardwick hall (again same owner as ramside but not sure if it would be what your after)

    HallGarth pittington

    Wynyard hall

    Seaham hall

    Boldon castle (layburn)

Another thing to look at is if you are saying garden party then look to old houses (see what national trust has to offer)

A wedding is what you are willing to make it, talk to the co-ordinators about your idea and see what some suggest.
