Wedding venue marquee

laurenpeacock, 25 August, 2013 at 22:56 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi all

I am wanting a venue where I can have a marquee preferably on hotel grounds for guests to stay over but this might be above my price range. I want to stay in the halifax area if possible and my budget is approx £2,500.

I have scoured the internet but any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks all :-)

You won't be able to hire a marquee for £2.5k (unless that is just your budget for ground/land hire?).

For that budget I would stick to looking table permenant marquees at venues/hotels.

    Hi Lauren.
Have you tried alternative venues which may come in a bit cheaper? Perhaps a school, local pub with large beer garden, cricket club. local Rugby club or other sports ground?
    Good luck with your search!!

We chose a castle wedding venue for our wedding and it was the best decision we could ever make!

We're having a marquee in the back garden on my Dad's local pub. They estimated £4,500, but that includes a pig roast and all the trimmings, plus dessert, for 100 people, drinks on arrival, wine on the tables, setting up and running a bar, everything marquee related including insurance, dance floor, electricity, etc.
