This! Can't see why your MOH's view is of relevance at all really. Visit them both together, see what they offer for what price and make a decision based on value and what feels right for you as a couple.

The dance floor on the second looks awesome!

The hotel looks nice, but like others have said go with OH and see which meets your requirements. They always look differenet when you visit in person and get a feel for the place.

Personally I prefer the second but as others have said see what the deal is for both and how you feel when you look round - can you both see yourself having the wedding there?

well i am going to see the Devonshire on Friday so i will fill you in what the hotel like. You never no i might get their and its a complete dump

Is there any particular reason you've gone for these? there are a lot of nicer places in the city you could choose from IMHO.

Tastes differ. I really like the first one, but they seem very much alike.

Personally i like the 2nd one better...my OH is a MAD liverpool fan but he wants to keep this seperate from the wedding so we won't be looking at Anfield ... so depends on your H2B's feelings on the venues too!! i know that my bridesmaids do not have the same style as me and so with venue choice it will be mine and H2B's and nothing to do with them. another major factor would be price, capacity and if they could fit in with your theme/style...the 2nd one is very modern so would only really suit a more contemporary theme...good luck!! x

I am a fellow toffee widow and we considered Goodison.

As a compromise our theme is Royal Blue in a stunning hotel.

I love the 2nd one, its looks so pretty ?

For me the second one it's a dream - I'd love it! But that is just my atste!
