Wedding venues in Kent

Munchkin28, 18 October, 2010 at 10:00 Posted on Planning 0 7

I wondered if you would share your wedding venues with me if they were in Kent or Kent borders. I have been tasked as my first role as Bridesmaid to find my bestie her wedding venue....looking for a late availablity place to keep the cost down!! She is looking for a venue where you can have the service, wedding breakfast and reception all in the same place....hotel rooms not essential but would consider venues that have accomodation....she would like something pretty but not too over the top or grand.

Thanks guys xxxx

Wow that is a hard task finding your friend a venue!!

I can't recommend my venue highly enough. Cooling Castle Barn near Rochester. Ceremony and reception all in one place. Pretty but not over the top grounds. Staff very good. It gets booked up very far in advance but whenever there is a cancellation there they advertise it on their website. www.coolingcastlebarn.co.uk

    Good luck!

Not where I wed as we had separate venues, but have a look at Oakwood House in Maidstone - looks nice, isn't too flashy though, can have everything in one place and they have accommodation on site too...I've been to a reception there and it was lovely! xxx

    I'm a Kent bride : )

There are loads of great venues in Kent, and having a look on hitched is a real help.

I am getting married at St Augustine's Priory, Bilsington (Near Ashford), and reception is also there:

We're getting married at the Shepherd Neame Brewery in Faversham - they often have late availability. No accommodation on site but plenty within staggering distance.

Why don't you contact the Kent Registrars - they have a full list of late availability venues - https://www.akentishceremony.com/

There's also a wedding fair at Detling showground on Sunday 24th - worth a look for inspiration.

Were getting married at The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells https://www.spahotel.co.uk/ I wanted everything under one roof too.

We also loved Chilston Park Hotel in Lenham but it was too small for our numbers https://www.handpickedhotels.co.uk/chilstonpark

    Hi,

I'm having my reception at Bickley Manor Hotel. Very reasonable, lovely grounds, accommodation and you can have the ceremony there two. Also, Bromley Court Hotel is also quite good. Not sure about cost there though. Also check out Donnington Manor Hotel, very reasonable and can do it all there too.

Hope this helps. Good Luck. x

I also second Chilston Park Hotel - this is my venue and seems to tick all the boxes you mentioned.

    Good luck x
