Weddingy Weekend - share your plans

Spamboule, 8 August, 2008 at 10:07 Posted on Planning 0 24

Reading some of the posts in the last few days, it seems that lots of us are going to have nice weddingy weekends. Hey, you might even be getting married!

I'm going to see the vicar to decide on our hymns & readings. We're also going to meet up with the church florist who is also going to decorate our venue. We sent out the last of our invites this morning, so hopefully we'll start to get come replies. Oh, and we're topping up our gift list too! All this on Saturday!

So, what are you up to? <nosey icon>

I'm going to be going over and over the details my OH needs to know for going to give notice! Apart from that nothing weddingy.

He's taking the dog back to the stud again today and I've got a mountain of ironing that I keep ignoring. But if I get it done today I can go and poke my heavily pregnant sister tomorrow and convince that baby to come out!! ?

    Then work Sunday (boooo)

Tomorrow is my final dress fitting ? and my BMs have their final fitting too.

Then Saturday afternoon going shopping with my Mum to get her a necklace to go with her MOB outfit.

Also my Mum is making my cake and she has made a tester / taster to check that everything is ok, yummy!

Then on Sunday I need to crack on with my honeymoon ironing ?

Might go up to new covent garden flower market tomorrow morning to have a nose at what type of flowers are available this time of year. but that's only if i drag my arse out of bed early enough. otherwise nothing else wedding-y.

i will be straight back on here on monday morning to see all the pics from all the b2bs who are getting married this weekend - englishgirlinbangkok, chids, geekypants, mrsptobe, that means YOU!

I get all butterflies when you ladies all talk about doing the last bits because your weddings are so close.

Hope there are still plenty of the regulars around for me to get excited with when it's my turn!!

I've had a really weddingy week staying with my mum and dad so I think we'll stay away from wedding stuff this weekend - apart from checking with mum and dad how many more RSVPs they've had - we only sent the invites out on Monday and they've had quite a few already...it's v. exciting as they come in!

So we'll just spend some time relaxing...doing things in the house and garden I expect (lol how boring are we!). Enjoy your weekends girls!

I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, so that kind of counts ?

Apart from that need to decide where to have our engagement shoot, and maybe look at sorting a wedding website...

This weekend is indeed very weddingy for all!!

(I will be spending a lot of Sunday watching the Olympics though, as I love them, but that's not weddingy at all!!)

I`ve got my hen tomorow (had to get that in again!!!), then CBM is having her dress fitted at 1pm back in manchester on sunday. not a good idea with a hangover but its the only time I can get her here before she moves abroad. then will no doubt be dying for the rest of the day.

No wedding planning for me any more but I'm off to our friends wedding, yay! Really looking forward to it, they are such a lovely couple and so in love and I know there will be tears aplenty. I've just had a spray tan and my nails done.

Luckily i'm taking my sister with me and she is much more decisive than me so she will prob just tell me what one to get-it may be a long day tho ha ha! I had a total wobble about my bridesmaid dresses after ordering them, I was sure I had made the wrong decision, but the lovely people of hitched knocked some sense into me!! ?

I shall be finalising my wedding cake ideas with my dad who is making it for me. Deciding on the flavour ie chocolate or just sponge ( I am very allergic to currants, sultanas etc)

Final try on of my dress with shoes and everything, then beginning to pack away everything to take up to my moms
