Standing. Am gutted though as was going with H's cousin's wife, their daughter, and my friend. My friend is unable to go, so am with H's family plus another 16 year old. I panic in crowds and my mate was going to be the one calming me down. Have gone from can't wait to dreading it slightly!

I'm not good in crowds either Lois, but some friends went to Manchester on Sunday and have come back raving. They were standing- near the back- and said they had a fabulous time and want to go again.

I'll be there, standing in the heat (sob) with my boss. We're going early to miss the traffic get near the front.

It's my first time standing at a concert and my first Wembley Stadium concert so I'm a bit nervous too. My boss is a first aider so if I get squished or faint in the excitement heat then she'll look after me!

(ps funny how we aren't normally both allowed annual leave on the same day...but for this she made an exception!)

I am not worried about the crowd during the concert itself - I will be a bit distracted! It's when we all go to leave at the same time and I think about being in the middle of all those people. Argh. Must stop thinking about this

I'm going on Friday (standing) and am a bit of a panicker in crowds too. My sister told me that they don't let everyone leave at once to avoid a crush - I really hope that's true!

I feel it only fair to warn you Wedensday kleeksters, that I'm going to be hounding you for information Thursday morning ?

I go on Friday and I want to know whether you can sneak in food, what there is to eat if not, whether there's unreserved seating for us with standing tickets, etc, etc ad finitum.

Have a great time ladies ?

I'll be there tomorrow, in the pink block, squealing with my friend Lexie (who is borderline unbearable already!)

She's working in town til 4.30pm and then we're hot footing it to Wembley together.

Apparently there is a stage in the middle too where the boys do a good set and friends of friend have said it's brilliant from whereever you are standing/sitting.

    Hurrah!

Looking forward to spending lots of money on water inside the venue though.... ☹️

I was originally going on Wednesday with Winkle and Spinny, but am going on Friday now because Mr Hole bought me seats nearer the stage as a surprise for my burpday.

SO excited. Not bothered about seeing Gary Go on Friday but wouldn't mind catching a bit of The Script before my boys come on.

I don't know Lois. I'm just speculating based on the fact that last time I went to Wembley Arena my bag was searched for food and similar contraband. That was about 10 years ago though, and like I say, the arena not the stadium. Similarly O2 searches for food. Presumably so that they can charge you an arm and a leg for pig swill once they've got a captive audience in there.

I'm assuming you can't for the same reaons Janna says. I'm really not looking forward to the heat but my boss has been to concerts in the heat at the old Wembley Stadium and said that if it gets too hot they get hosepipes out and turn them on to cool people off. I SO hope they do this tomorrow!

From what I heard about the Manchester concerts, you can take one plastic bIottle 500ml of water into the venue. I think that is the limit.

However, it did say on the venue website that there were taps with drinking water available. I have no idea whether this was widespread or one tap in a dark corner ?

I don't think they allow picnic food in. Thats pretty normal for Wembley. You might get away with some sweets.

I would guess the food will be a bit crap, and very expensive. I used to know Wembley well, but that was over 10 years ago. The food then was complete sh1t. I'm going to eat before. And if we can find it, I'm going to go to a nice chippy on the road on the way home! ?

I was lucky enough to go to the Diana Concert and the food was pretty ok if well overpriced for what it was.

Can all you Wed's Thurs Friday TT'rs let us know what the score is with Cameras too please. NO worries at Manchester but Wembley might be a different story.

Have a Fab time it is a great show! I must say it was the best rendition of A Million Love Songs I have heard them do the Harmonies were amazing!

I'll be there Wednesday. We have standing tickets and I don't do crowded so I'll also be at the back.

I have bought drinks that are not in hard bottles or cans to take in. They usually use the excuse that they are dangerous as can be thrown so I'm hoping that they will let me in with what I've got. I know I took food and drink into the last concert at Wembley I went to but that was a few years back.

They have nothing on the website which is really bad.

The prohibited items on the website are:

    Professional cameras and recording devices

Water bottles (must be able to decant)

    Hampers and cool boxes

I have no idea what "must be able to decant" means - presumably a bog standard bottle of water would be alright and they might get you to empty it at security to check that it doesn't contain alkyhool. But I would take it that the odd sarnie and personal camera would be alright.

    I think.

    Ooooh oooh ooh me!

It was a great, great show - the effects were stunning, the boys were great. They did "40%" of their show on a smaller B stage in the middle of the pitch, there was fire, tumbling, tightrope walking... It was really directed for a stadium which sounds obvious but some bands aren't so visual and seem a bit lost in a larger venue if they're not big enough. There was one bit which I think everyone has heard about that actually brought tears to my eyes it was SO fab (but then I am of the theatrical persuasion yaddayaddayadda).

Wembley as a venue is superb. HOOOGE. This may be obvious but I say this as a former Wembley resident whose last Stadium visit was ten years ago..... there was drinking water available pitchside, loads of seats (all of level 1 was unreserved - the last seats to be filled were those facing the stage, they were in direct sunlight until about 7 though!), the food was alright if a bit pricey (so what's new), really good atmosphere.

The queue for the station was unbelievably well organised - they have really got their act together on that one. I was on a train within 15 minutes of leaving the stadium (and I'm sure I was directed the long way round!). Although I missed my former 15minute walk home! Damn Mr S and this moving south of the river mullarkey!

Um... don't want to say too much for spoiling.... I enjoyed both the support acts, Gary Go and James Morrison, everyone performing seemed so so pleased to be at Wembley!

    Twas brilltastic!

It was fabulous! Even though we were very high up, it was a great view and they put on an impressive show. I nearly cried during Never Forget, watching everyone clapping in unison.

The journey home, which should have been easy, was awful. We got to Willesden Junction at 11.35 only to be told that there were no more trains to Richmond. 24 hour city my arse. We ended up wandering around Harlesden (nice!) until we found 2 poor girls from Somerset who had driven up and parked at Richmond, so we shared a cab back. Bloody ridiculous.

It was brilliant! We were sat in 552 and could see everything from a very high height - which took me a small panic attack, some deep breaths and a couple pints of larger to get over the fact we were so high up. I hate heights but it got better the more it filled up and by the end of the night looking around at the crowd was amazing.
