Weekend plans

HeidiHole, 26 September, 2008 at 12:38 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 48

I'm not going to have time to scratch my backside this weekend and I'm really not looking forward to it.

Tonight G is having a sleepover, I was going to let them make their own pizzas but Mr Hole told me they're 14 not 8 ?, so meatballs and garlic bread it is.

Tomorrow - G's friend will be leaving around lunchtime, then I have to clean the house, shop for Sunday's birthday lunch, make and decorate a birthday cake, then entertain my ILs who are coming over late afternoon for a few hours.

Sunday is cooking for 8 of us and entertaining the family. I feel tired just typing it out ?

    Wow you are busy!

Tonight will be spent lounging in front of the telly.

Tomorrow I might tackle my ironing pile, then H is taking me out for a few drinks and a meal.

Sunday - Shopping and getting a DVD.

TONIGHT - H is out with his Postgrads celebrating three hand-ins so I've got the house and the TV remote to myself. Wine and takeaway planned.

SATURDAY - Not much planned other than enjoying the good weather so probably long dog walk and then enjoying Saturday night TV fest.

SUNDAY - I'm working as a volunteer with RNIB. We're taking a bunch of blind and VI children horse-riding which I'm really looking forward to. I'm not allowed to ride myself but it'll be great to be around the horses and see the kids having a great time.

I'll be home earlier than usual tonight as I have an interview later.

When I get in I'm doing a quick dash round the flat with the hoover, bung a washing on and then make a chilli for dinner.

The rest of the weekend we shall be mainly sleeping. Might go for a walk if the weather is as nice as they say, but with my work situation I'm not sleeping properly and my H has had a really bad week with work too.

Just need to think about what nice food we want to eat over the weekend, especially for Saturday night with the dullard-fest that is SCD, Merlin, X Factor & Casualty.

How generous of you HH letting teenagers make their own dinner, I'm sure they'd have loved that ? Well I would have but as mr jaz always reminds me I was a strange child/teenager/person. Also is garlic wise smell wise or are you hoping to smell them out? How many sleepoverees are there?

I'll be seeing my accoutant this evening and tidying for his arrival as the house is in a terrible state ? Then visting the ILs tomorrow probably and going out tomorrow night.

On Sunday H will mainly be cutting out jungle like garden/grass and I will mainly be lying on the sofa.

Lovely chilled weekend for us. Out for dinner tonight, long lie-in and possibly a bit of shopping tomorrow, and a long run; Sunday I'll be uploading my holiday photos on to Flickr and baking some cakes to bribe my colleagues into sponsoring me for the Royal Parks HM.

Two main plans, neither exciting but both necessary!

    1) Start in earnest on my OU studying - official course start tomorrow

    2) Tidy up the house a bit, move a lot of stuff back into Lodger Girl's room once all her stuff is out and hopefully declutter a fair bit. Am determined not to just fill the space with crap again!

Tonight I have my first body pump class at my new gym - bit scared - just the fear of the unknown really! Then later it's the local pub quiz, where we're hoping to win £300!

Tomorrow I have pilates class at the gym, then got to do weekly shop, then might have a wander into city centre. Tomorrow evening is a local historical photo evening at the village hall, so I'm helping set that up and also attending with H and IL's.

Sunday I am on Church Volunteer duty, so will try to find something useful to do there for two hours whilst it's open, then back again for evening service at 6.30. I shall also be having a nice Sunday lie in if I can!

    Happy birthday FtG!

Tonight I am meeting Mr W for dinner after work, and then we're off to a friend's party - they're always legendary (on NYE 1999/2000 I got home at 11.30am on NYD ?). I'm going to try not to get too drunk though. Ha ha.

Tomorrow, I'll be going to see my sister and Dylan, hopefully Dad and my Stepmum will be there too. It's Dad's birthday tomorrow but Stepmum had her first chemo this week, so we'll have to see how she is. Stay in and watch X Factor in the evening.

Sunday - run in the morning and then a late lunch with Kilty and CS.

    Phewie.

Tomorrow evening I'm going to a choir concert. I'm looking at joining it if I like the performance so that should be fun. The conductor suggested I came along to meet him and the choir and see what type of stuff they sing.

Other than that, nothing planned as I'm not up to much at the moment.

Tomorrow I am off to John Lewis to replace the (wedding present) vase that I carelessly smashed last weekend.

After that will the the traditional SCD evening accompanied by enormous steaks.

Sunday we're off to the farmers market then round to my parents to drop off mum's birthday present.

Holio, did you get my email ?

Alison, Marks & Spencer have their two for £10 offer on, if that helps with your Saturday plans. We are doing the same including Saturday night TV.

I'm taking my new car for a spin tomorrow and I can't wait. I'm loving it so much. Spot of shopping, couple of beautician's appointments, then dinner and TV.

    Sunday lounging about.

Tonight I'm out with my best mate for a few drinks, and OH may join us.

Tomorrow we have an appointment with a mortgage advisor. Probably sounds dull to most, but as potential FTBs it's quite exciting (and scary). Then some clothes shopping and home to eat tea whilst watching SCD. Might go to a charity race night.

Sunday is food shopping and the Singapore GP.

Not exactly rock n roll ?

I'm off tomorrow on a mystery weekend break somewhere. we think we're going leeds though having looked at the description of the hotel and having done a bit of googling.

Leaving H at home to fend for himself so he'll probably live on crisps and pizza all weekend.

It's PIL anniversary and I think MIL is planning another wedding day by the size of her plans, shame she hasn't the budget to match - which is where SIL and I have had to step in sooooooooooo tomorrow i'm mostly running about getting balloons sorted and decorating a room, aswell as trying to clean out the car and mow the lawn front and back. Sunday will mainly be spent trying to avoid MIL at said party and smiling sweetly whilst she talks b0llocks.

My abject failure to select a card and get it posted in a timely fashion (despite being stood in a post-office earlier today) means I probably ought to drop something off in person.

Or maybe a phonecall will do ?

Tonight I'm going to rush home from work to congratulate my H on passing his driving test (keep'em crossed people, he's taking it AS I TYPE - aarghm, this is his second so am really hoping) then my Mom is coming over to cut and colour my hair (so handy having a hairdresser for a Mom) then we are going to a thirtieth birthday party, which is bound to be a messy one.

Tomorrow I will be sleeping off my hangover before heading out for pre-match beers then watching us either be brilliant and whoop Sunderland or be very poor and lethargic and generally not deserve a decent result, depending which team turns up! Tomorrow evening we're off to a fortieth.

Sunday will be spent lying in for a long time, whelming about for a bit round the house (possibly popping to see the in laws) then going out for a big steak dinner to round off the weekend.

And throughout these shennanigans I will be keeping a keen ear out for the dulcet tones of my mobile ringing to say my sister has gone into labour - come on baby, I want you here now!!!

Tonight MrHep and I are going out for dinner and drinks, and meeting a couple of friends after.

Tomorrow we're popping to B&Q and getting a few kitchen bits to start transforming our unused understairs cupboard into a fully functioning larder. Nothing Saturday night apart from watching Strictly.

Sunday is the 10 year anniversary of MrHep's father passing away so we're going for a lnice linch with his sister and then to the crem. I think Sunday might be quite emotional for all of us.
