Weekend plans?

Chicken, 7 November, 2008 at 10:55 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 52

Inspire me please - I have homework. I have football tomorrow so busy between 12.00 - 18.00 and I may have tickets for a game on Sunday too) but I need to find something fun/a wee bit adventurous/exciting/different to do too. I will give up the game on Sunday if needs be but not the Saturday. I'm in London.

Have you ventured to Westfield yet? That could fill plenty of hours.

Tonight I'm doing the housework as I'm out all day tomorrow Christmas shopping with my sister. We have a real full on girly shopping day planned and I'm very excited.

Saturday night we have friends over for dinner, Xfactor / SCD and the usual Saturday night TV.

Sunday I have a nail appointment then food shopping then no doubt homework with the kids.

We have brother in law & his wife this weekend. They're staying in a hotel in South Kensington but coming to us for dinner tonight - they've never seen our flat.

Tomorrow morning we're taking them to Borough Market then leaving them for the afternoon to potter by themselves - probably a thames walk. We'll be retiring to a pub to watch the rugby.

Tomorrow night we're taking them to dinner in Covent Garden.

Sunday - really must start to do some packing for our holiday that leaves a week today.

Riley and I are taking part in the Kennel Club Safe and Sound demonstration at Discover Dogs all weekend. Riley is pretending to be asleep in her bed while children play around her and I am playing the bad mother who leaves her children alone with the dog. It all works out fine in the end though and the children learn how to approach dogs, what not to and what to do if dogs are around etc.

Earl's Court. It's been fine in rehearsals, but she might be stressed by the sheer numbers of people there so we have a back up plan in case she's not up to performing. I'm not going to stress her unnecessarily.

Hmm cant think of anything for you but I am going to meet H's work mates (and all the other staff and girls at the school). He works in a private girls school and they are having a BBQ and fireworks night for the girls and staff so we are going. Im very nervous, meeting them all at once is going to be scary and I am going to worry about what all of them think about me (I have depression so that doesnt help and Im a big person so always worry what people think anyway). Im trying to focus on the fireworks ?

Hope it goes well - keep us posted. I've been looking at volunteering somehow with dogs but dog's trust near me don't need me. Any ideas?

We're off to a bonfire party tonight.

Tomorrow we're off to see an IFA about a new mortgage and then we'll be heading down to Wembley to see Queen ?

Sunday I'll be baking another Christmas cake.

My 69 year old father is out doing some missionary work just now on the Gaza strip, so we all have to keep my mother busy so she doesn't fret. This weekend, it's my turn to be on Mother Watch. Hangover permitting, tonight I'm going to spin and yoga, then out for dinner with mummy and some of my friends. Then I'm dragging her Christmas shopping tomorrow (this is unheard of- we are usually 24 december trolly dashers ?) and then seeing a band at night. Sunday, if dry, I'm going to hike up the Cobbler for my last munro of the year (although I think snow may be forecast ?). Got a family dinner on Sunday night. Also, at some point, a pair of stinky recalcitrant pugs are going to be duped into getting into the bath for a scrubbing. They will haaaaate me. ?

WT where are you moving to!?

Not great plans here. Its Gran's 80th so we have a lunch on Sunday, not many of us coming, and she didn't want a fuss, so expect it won't be anything too wild!

    Tonight: housework

Tomorrow: last advanced driving 'lesson' before my 'test' next week, followed by lunch and shopping at Cabot Circus, then boring food shopping.

Sunday: Gardening if it's dry...or more specifically weeding, as they are taking over, a couple of DIY jobs and maybe a visit to an Orange shop to talk about upgrading my phone handset.

Tonight: Going to the rugby, nothing exciting just the team the future MrMwnci supports/does photography stuff for. He should also be picking up my engagement ring today (or rather his grandmother's engagement ring which will need to be considerably resized to go anywhere near my shovel-like hands, I've not even seen it yet but I'm so excited)

Tomorrow: Wales v South Africa and probably some shopping while we're in sunny Cardiff.

Sunday: Off to Ikea to buy the kitchen, then some large-scale Tetris attempting to get the boxes into our car and my parents' Paj.

Hopefully there'll be a fair amount of fizzy wine drinking happening too and some random wedding bits and bobs - joy(!)

I have no inspiration for you as I have nothing planned tomorrow. On Sunday I have a very exciting day. I'm going to meet my dad's half sister for the very first time. My grandad had a relationship before he met my nan and she had a daughter that my dad knew nothing about until this time last year! My grandad never met his daughter which is sad really as his partner never told my grandad that she was preggers and moved away before she had the baby. They have met up a couple of times since then but I've not met her. She's coming up to meet us at my mum and dad's house. I'm excited to meet her. I've seen a photo of her and its weird because she really looks like my grandad. My dad has spent his whole life as an only child, as has she so its lovely that they've both go someone now, even if my dad is 53!
