It's that time of the week again! ?

For me:

Good - it's the weekend we finally go and sort out the reading of OH Banns.

Good - shopping for a new dress for Valentines day either tonight or tomorrow

Good - secured an interview for a job with lots of potential salary wise and although it's not perfect as it's in Newcastle, about 40 mins away from where I will be living, it's a start

Bad - Going to OHs parents this weekend, got to face OHs oldest sister after me and her had a huge row 2 weeks ago and have a feeling his Mom and other sister will be having words with us about it

Bad - OHs dog is very sick with a tumor and will be put down next week so we have to say bye-bye to her.

& finally = Good luck to those getting married this weekend!

    Happy Friday Girlies!!

    Good - its Friday!!!

Good - more wedding venuew hunting this weekend and a wedding open day!

Good - decoration of the living room will finally be finished, just waiting for carpets now.

Bad - one of my closest work cfriends was put "at risk" this week and the whole redundancy process will be over end of Feb ?

Bad - work is rubbish as all the best, nicest, friendliest people are eithe leaving or being made redundant.

Bad - new job hunt is going rubbish, as theres nothing out there!

So if anyone needs an experienced PA in the West Mids, who makes great tea/coffee and will bring in biscuits and homemade bread...let me know ?

    have a great weekend everyone

    xx

Ooh not seen this thread for a bit...

Nice to read people have had largely a good week with only a sprinkle of bad, but maybe that's just me, my glass is always half full.

Not many bads this week for me.

Bad: still hurting post-surgery and getting a bit tired now and again.

Good: Been to hospital and had my stitches out today and everyone was fussing round me taking pictures of the scar for "teaching purposes" saying they have never seen an insulin-dependent diabetic who has had the illness for 26 years heal so well and fast. Never felt a thing and was sitting there waiting for the pain jus to be told the nurse was "done"!!!!

Good: The surgeon remembered me worrying about unsightly scars for my strapless wedding dress and only used two normal stitches at the bottom of the cut. The rest he used disolvable stitches and apparently some sort of special "glue" they use especially in cosmetic surgery to minimise scarring - those of you who are nurses will probably know what it is... So the scar, although about 6 inches long, is fortunately placed exactly where the bra strap goes and will not be too visible anyway!! Phew!

Good: Paid deposit on wedding rings and they told us they will be ready and sent to us in 6 weeks!!!!!

Good: seems we will get the refund from Leeds City Council after all. There is a company called CTReview (Council Tax Review) who contests on your behalf if you've been banded wrong which is the case for hundreds of thousands of properties in UK. We are owed IRO £2000 plus interest, minus the fee for the company (25%), so I am expecting about £1.5k towards the wedding...We were banded a C in 1997 when we moved in but should be a B. Been paying a C tax ever since!
