Weekly weigh in??

I don't know if anyone else has started one but Sorry I if they have but I thought that any dieting brides might want to join in a weekly weigh in!

I have little ones so I cant get to weight watchers or slimming world but like the idea of it so a weigh in on here might work??

I only want to loose a little weight and tone up to feel better in my dress as i feel a bit podgy around the tummy and top of arms, back etc so have started slim fast last Monday.

How about we all post our weight lost Smiley smile or gained Smiley sad on here each Friday?

Just before the weekend as I know for me they are harder so wont feel so guilty if I do slip as we have the week to get back on track!!

Anyone want to join me?????

    Maybe just us then?!

    Saw your post about how much weight you have lost...well done!

    Ive been doing quite well food wise this week (apart from a bday party yesterday) and have done a few long walks but my sons on half term and i have a two year old so limited to what I can get out and do this week as its been raining everyday so far!!

    Might put a workout dvd on and see if they fancy 'dancing' along with me!

    I do struggle with dinner ideas as I want to cook food for us all and not a seperate 'diet' meal for me so any suggestions would be great!

    I dont keep scales in the house (or id be on them all the time) so will go to my mums on friday to see if i've lost anything!

    I found that the main thing was trying to have more veggie based meals, we maybe only eat red meat about one night a week, chicken two or three, and then either fish or veggies on the others.

    Veggie burgers (filled with veggies though, not the Quorn ones), and spicy bean burgers are really filling. Try to have with potatoes and corn on the cob rather than chips.

    A Sunday roast is great, just use a lean meat like chicken and don't have any of the skin. Load your plate with a selection of veggies like sprouts, carrots, turnip, and whatever else you like, and have boiled potatoes rather than roast - or mash with only a tiny bit of margarine.

    Cous cous, rice/risotto and pasta are all great family meals. You can pack them with veggies and have a big portion for yourself, while the family can have it as a side to meat or pizza if they want.

    Stir frys are perfect, only a tiny bit of oil, I just buy prepacked stir fry veg from the supermarket - there's nothing in it but veg. I tend to add prawns to bulk it out as they're low fat, and then just a stir fry sauce through it - so quick and healthy.

    Veggie fajitas are another one, or even with chicken. Peppers, onion, mushrooms - I don't have cheese or sour cream with mine, instead I have salad, salsa, and homemade guacamole (which I just mash avocado, and add a little bit of salt, pepper and lemon juice)

    The other main thing is soup, homemade though as the shop bought ones are packed full of baddies. Lentil soup, leek and potato soup, chicken and vegetable soup, just not 'cream of' anything. So filling as a lunch or dinner, especially in this weather to heat you up - I always feel satisfied afetr a big bowl of homemade soup.

    Thanks, loads of great ideas there , well i was thinking of a roast tonight as weve had such busy weekends lately and just never have them on sundays anymore!!

    I do find if i plan my meals ahead and have as little 'rubbish' as possible in the cupboards i cant cheat!

    Iam in i really want to lose the last 7-14lbs and just keep going down 2 lbs then back up iam going to do it!!!!

    I know! I'm at that gain a pound, lose a pound stage. Have been now for about 3months.

    This will be good for a bit of support! I had a baby last July and needed to get some of the extra baby weight off so started Weight Watchers online in January. I don't have time to go and do the weigh in so doing it on my own. Plus my OH lives abroad so I live like a single mum at the moment and get very little time to myself! My biggest thing has been to stop snacking and eat when and usually what my baby does. So we have 3 very healthy meals a day. Friday evening I allow myself an indulgent snack once my little one is in bed which is always chocolatey! I've started walking to all of our mummy and baby classes and to visit family and friends in our town and probably do a good 8 hours walking a week.

    I've started to do sit ups at night as well- trying to tone the hanging bit of jelly belly that has been left behind!!

    Well it is Firday Lady the day to weigh so as iam already on here i will go 1st iam 11st 1/2lb today hopefully i will be less next friday i have lost 1lbs this week

    Well done TMR123! I'm 10st 2Ib which is a Ib lost since my last weighing (Sunday) so happy enough with that! What's everyone's target weight for the big day? I'm hoping to get to 9st 6Ib!!!

    Hi everyone

    Can i join you on this?

    I only need to loose a small amount now but finding the last few pounds quite difficult!! My starting weight was 9 stone and i have managed to get down to 8 stone 4 lbs but my target weight is 8 stone.

    Hi everyone,

    haven't weighed my self yet (don't have any scales) I was planning to go to mums but shes been called into work! boo!

    Will pop down to boots while i go get my shopping so will update later!

    I would love to loose a stone but anything would be nice.

    I have 14 weeks till the wedding so what do you think would be a reasonable amount to expect to loose??

    I want to be at lest 10st7 for my wedding but would love to be 10st.

    what diet is every one doing? at the min iam just waching what i eat and trying not to eat over 1200cals a day

    Argh! Had a nightmare day! Didnt get to weigh myself! We went into town and the first shop we entered my 2 year old had a random tantrum, then she almost pulled a giant display stand down on herself which i grabbed as my 7 year old son grabbed too bless him then he was upset and started crying too (think it scared him) then we spent ages in another shop and as soon as id paid i realised id forgot something so we had to go back in and queue up again. Then just as we get in I realise i didnt weigh my self as my son jumps on the sofa, somehow banging his face and has a massive nose bleed everywhere! Sure more things went wrong too but i just gave up after all that!

    Anyway sorry for that O/T rant but you know how it is!

    Will def weigh in over the weekend as ive been on slim fast for two weeks now so desperate to see if its actually done anything! I have had one or two bad days though but im managing to get back on track the next day where as before i would have said 'oh ive failed' and just given up!

    Not happy today! After 2 weeks on slim fast iv'e gained a pound! Oh well at least i know its not for me, just going to cut down as i had a read up and theres quite a lot in slim fast and can prob do better just cutting down what i eat! May be TMI but its my time of the month and they say u can put on 7lbs so thats my excuse anyway!!

    In the last week befor AF you hold on to a lot of water so it could be you have lost but with holding water its not showing in the numbers.

    Have you tryed teco's own its cheeper than slimfast and dosnt have as much cals or sugurs in.

    Okay, week 2 = 9stone exactly. No change, grrrrr!

    Probably my own fault though, was out for a 30th last week and drank loads of wine followed by a 2am chip shop visit. he he!

    Lost 2 lbs this time!

    Hi, had a better week this week, ditched the slim fast and just cut down. I did a few really long tiring walks also which is good! But we went out for dinner and cinema but I didn't go mad, I just had a main course , diet drink and about 2 handfuls of pop corn and a few sweets in the cinema.

    We have family visiting this weekend so have to try my best to resist the pizza and other bad foods we always seem to get when they visit!!

    I'm trying my dress on again on Monday so that may be what I need to keep me going!

    Wow! You've had a great week Libby, super doops!

    Tmr, sometimes it happens, god knows why - you just get a crappy week occasionally...sometimes one week out of the month in particular, for me it's always the week leading up to it IYKWIM - always very bloated.

    I've stuck, but I know why...still think I was good enough to have lost one little pound though. May have to seriously consider introducing some cardio to my workout - which I absolutely hate!!! Boo! I'm just hoping the weather keeps getting better as I'm quite happy to go for walks at the weekend and at lunchtime, just can't stand step class!

    Oh well, that's my ramblings over. Let's hope for some super weight loss reporting next Friday - have a fab wknd everyone!!!

    I think it is because iam due the wich on tues so it could be iam hoping it is that. I really need to lose not put on iam going my mums today so will try my dress on (its at my mums) and see if that gets me on the thort of losing not putting on (i can only hope) i dont think it is helping my son keeps waking early yesterday it was 3:30am today 4:30am so iam all out of sink with time and food.

    I may have to add my loss/gain over the weekend as i haven't been able to weigh myself today (must buy some scales!!)

    Ive been pretty good this week, I tried my dress on on Monday and it fitted so much better! Really excited and its made me want to really try hard to loose some more weight and tone up to feel even better in it!!

    Please Please Please can i join!

    Beginning of Jannuary i weighed 10 stone 1lb

    Last week (11th) i weighted 9 stone 9lb

    Goal weight 9st!


    Had a very naughty weekend as it was OH's birthday but i've been really good this week so cant wait to see how i've done tomorrow on the weigh in!

    Please can I join in? I'll do my first weigh in tomorrow. I'm only 40 days away from my wedding so don't expect to lose loads in that time but would like to trim up a tad. My motivation is poo though so I'm relying on you guys to keep me on the straight and narrow!

    Well i have lost a wopping 1lb gutted i had hot cross buns for my tea last night and i put on 1/2 a lb (yes i was bd and weighted yesterday) but thats over will now on to a new week and more fat busting..

    Morning all! Well, i've lost 1lb this morning! Bit unsure how to take it really, had a really bad weekend and put a few pounds no so all in all i've lost 4lb this week but obviously i'm not going to include the weekend gain! Just that i'd loose more than a pound. I've been so bloody good! Even my OH commented on how well i was doing (he finished work at 10 all this week and i use to give in and have a late night snack) all in all i've finally lost half a stone in total :-) x
