Weight Watchers & Breastfeeding

Loopy, 12 June, 2009 at 17:39 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 2

Hi

I joined WW on Wednesday following Gabriella's birth, I'm exclusively breastfeeding.

How have others done with WW and BF? What sort of losses did you have?

10 extra points seems like so much, I struggled to eat enough yesterday.

I'm also joining Buggy Fit on Monday - it's an hour of Cardio and stretching etc in a field with your buggy and babies - how many bonus points should I count - haven't got any leaflets on excersise yet.

Cheers

Loopy

I lost 22lb in 9 weeks when exclusively breast feeding on ww.. but i had A LOT to lose!... I would just say don't worry about using the bonus points that you earn through exercise if you are struggling to eat enough points now. good luck.

I could never eat the full whack, didn't even try tbh. At most I ate 5 or so extra points, but they were always available if I needed them. I lost 2 stone in 12 weeks, I had good losses the first 2 weeks as is normal, then averaged 2lb a week since then.

When exclusively breastfeeding you need 500 extra calories a day. I'd eat to your appetite rather than to your points, obviously stick within your point limit but don't eat more just because you have extra points iykwim.
