Weight watchers daily points help please

Livi, 22 July, 2009 at 15:05 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 2

Hi all

I am a long term WW member but have just had a baby 2 weeks ago. I am starting to think about following WW again to help me shift the baby weight but I am breast feeding this time. I believe this means I get extra points doesn't it? I was previously on 18/19 a day. has anyone got the questinnaire thingy to calc total points so that I have an idea before I join up properly to online (prob over the next week or two)?

Thanks

I have just signed up for the online service but you have to sign up before it takes you to the questionnaire thingy.

I think it is an extra 10 points a day for exclusive BFing and 5 points if mix feeding. Almost enough to make me wish I was BFing. ? but I think they recommend you wait till your baby is 6 weeks old before you start.

As Roob says, it's +10 for excl. bfand +5 for bf plus solids/formula.

You would need to do the questionnaire again to see how many points you would be on now, then add these on to that total daily allowance.

Do you have any old ww guidance? the quiz is the same as before.

    Hi there

I am a Weight Watchers leader and the advice is as given...

    10 for exclusive breastfeeding

5 for with solids or other formula

You really should wait until you have had your 6 week check before you start dieting again, but getting back into good habits (ie tracking everything you eat) should make it easier once you have had your 6 week check.

    Good luck

ps - I'm not lurking for business purposes, I was over on baby talk!
