Am still annoyed that I can't see who started threads, can't get any of the old icons, and that people are allowed tickers and avatars.

It's horrible. Not only does it take an age for the pages to load it's cold and unfriendly.

As I said on the other thread, I don't mind change but I will mind change if lots of my favourite people leave because of it.

Sorry Darren and Dean, we know you have worked hard on this all weekend and are probably pretty gutted we are being so scathing. If the forum is to stay like this, there are a few things we need:

- No more 'active users' or an ability to opt out, sometimes it's nice to lurk. (I've since opted out)

- Topic author

It would be nice to have:

- No more tickers/signatures, they hurt my eyes and make it hard to skim read (I've since ditched them, yay!)

- The chance to read the last few replies whilst replying

- No more double spacing, it's very hard to cope with.

Things I like:

- Being able to click on posts I've replied to etc rather than having to search

- Site being so customisable

- Quoting

- Being able to subscribe to posts

I'll edit if I think of anything else. (Edited to say there are more positives than negatives!)

I'm sure I'll get used to it and like Mrs Magic, it's great that you are working so hard to make it better, it's just so difficult to adapt to change.

I also had no idea that a change was happening, I'm sure there wasn't any warning (Or maybe I missed that!) and now I don't know how to look back through previous threads - I want a dinosaur cake update from SLD ?

Is there a way to preview the post before you post it? I always liked being able to check my icons were in the right place.

You don't quote, it just opens up with the option to quote.

Yo can click on any reply button to post, then when you are in the post, the post you clicked reply on will appear above where you are typing. If you want to quote, you press the reply button like this
and it adds it into your post. I really like that function!

I can't seem to use it with my iphone - couldn't reply last night.

Having active users could be useful for people trying to troll but only if you can't use/see the forums without being signed in.

My main concern at the moment is when you go to the discussion page before selecting a board I (and others) are getting viruses, each time my virus checker is throwing up a trojan, so really needs sorting.

Other than that and what others have already added, Im sure we will get used to it. We all complained last time and after a while all was good.

I also have no idea how to opt out of things, upload a member photo of create a ticker (if I actually wanted one ?). Perhaps a sticky with instructions on how to do these things would be good?
