Was supposed to be on jury service for 2 weeks, but couldn't do the trial that they wanted to put me in the selection for as it was estimated for a four week stint. Now, because I have 'knowledge' of the trial they no longer require me or the remaining 16 people that were in the running for the jury. Can't go back to work as they have already paid to have my shifts covered, so I now have 2 weeks to do whatever I want!
It does seem a lot of wasted time and money though. I won't be the only one that they have to pay for the full two weeks. I would have thought they could have used us elsewhere.
