West Midlands venue crisis!

Lauradee, 17 March, 2013 at 08:57 Posted on Planning 0 9

Looking for a venue in Birmingham or just outside...or Worcestershire. I really want a barn of something a bit different, but finding it impossible to find something practical and not costing the earth! Any advice? I never thought it would be this hard to plan! Laura x

    Hi,

A couple of weeks ago my hubby and I went for a Groupon offer - a meal and wine tasting experience at a vineyard just outside of Worcester. I noticed that they have hosted weddings there and used a marquee, etc. They make 3 wines in their vineyards. Not sure if it was you are looking for, but it looked like ti could be a beautiful place. Here is the link to their site:

    Regards,

    Rebecca

Thank you for all your suggestions! Had a look at curradine barns today which I LOVE however H2B doesn't think it has enough facilities! Will defiantly investigate your other suggestions! Really want to stay clear of a hotel wedding but got a fear it will end up being a hotel just because of the accommodation issues!

I second that about Packington Moor, but I may be a bit biased as I'm getting married there in December! Smiley smile It is an amazing place and has such a lovely feel to it and after visiting I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. I don't know if they are still doing this deal but we got £1000 off the venue hire price and £7 a head off of food so saved us nearly £2000 as we booked for this year. Good luck with your search!

    If you're on a budget, try www.hattonvillagehall.co.uk

I used it for our UK reception and they are very flexible

I can say Packington is gorgeous too! Got another wedding there in 3 weeks, can't wait.
