Hmm it is a bit of how long is a piece of string type question.... it really depends what the venue is tbh and what's included e.g catering...Some venues may also take more dressing then others so if you allocated x% for venue and x%decorations one venue might need a higher % spent on decoration and visa versa.

Ours, including venue, food, entertainment, flowers, cake etc, etc was 25% of the total. Total included honeymoon.

Hmmm, there's no set percentage. We spent approx. equal amounts of money on honeymoon = dress/suits/makeup etc = meals/drinks on day. Registrar/photographer/DJ/cakes/flowers/rings etc not included but probably about 0.5 x those equal parts. So our venue (hire/food/drinks) was around 2/7...um...30% ish.

I was intrigued so just worked this out for mine - for venue, food, drink and DJ ours was 55-60%. I cut out a lot of the 'big' purchases outside these I suppose

Ours is about 70% BUT they're doing the food, DJ, first, night accom, ceremony, virtually no dressing (its very modern) AND i'm cutting back on everything else, the dress, the jewellery, the makeup the rings, no cars, flowers are free, doing my own stationary etc etc. depends on your set up and how you work things out and how much your willing to do yourself.

The general rule is supposed to be 50% not including honeymoon. Mine is about that inc food, DJ and decor. It depends on your budget though. I looked at websites that gave suggested %s then adjusted as some things like outfits just weren't enough with a small budget x

I'm probably running at about 50%, but that doesn't include the ceremony. It does include drinks package, room hire, 4 course meal, chair covers blah blah blah.
