I think that these are unique.
I have never seen anyone else have them and I made them so no one else will have the same ?

They are made from buttons of HTB's 2 Nan's that won't be able to make it to the wedding

We are having a steam car than OH's grandad built before he passed away to take us for a drive and some photos along the seafront after the ceremony. Also having a table football as our seating plan.

The best bit is being able to choose unique and special things to us as a couple!

Ha ha ha, it's become quite a talking point amongst our friends and family. I would like to add that it's not my idea at all. Just a bit of fun for the evening really.

hmmm unique .....Soda pop minitures as cake toppers, kinda original though it a spin-off idea have mini-figures as cake toppers. Mario overworld design table plan (OH idea) Gate to Moria backdrop (also OH idea, he's good at this) pfffffft really can't think of anything ... was gonna say 8 bit heart wedding cake but i remembered i have a whole pinterest board of THAT idea. We had Trolls as our cake topper and Rubik cube balloon weights.

I designed my dress myself so I guess that was unique.

I am hiring the miniature railway that is at our venue for everyone to take a ride on!

I'm sure many couples have done this at our venue, but it is probably quite unique to hitched!

I'm going to say my button bouquet is unique. Yes, they've been done a million times but no two are identical.... and none of the people coming to my wedding have had one. My dress may possibly be unique too since it's available in about 50 different colours and then with the same number of options for sash and buttons. With it being a bridesmaids dress it's quite possible no one has had it made in ivory with the same colour of sash as me... maybe.

I'm going to write my table plan on a mirror! Not unique as I have stolen it from Pinterest, but I've never been to a wedding with one!

Although it has probably been done before our most unique thing is our cake as it is being made from tiers of Greggs Donuts, Cupacakes and one top tier with a Bride and Groom Rubber Duck topper so sure will be quite unique, and well I'm making practically everything so will be special to us!

Here are a few personal touches from our wedding which I think were quite unique/different:

    - Our tables were named after Game of Thrones families
    - I made my own cake toppers of myself and my husband (my avatar)
    - The table confetti had our names on (I got them on ebay so there probably are other people who have them with the same names, lol)

I don't think we're having anything unique when you consider everyone's weddings on here and in magazines (except perhaps my Iron Fist shoes), but there's plenty we're doing that I haven't seen at any friends/family weddings:

    No bridesmaids
    Double-barrelled surname
    Cupcake tower
    Cheese tower
Choice of wines for guests (not just red/white)
    Table names

I'm sure we have nothing truly unique, but i've not come across any other weddings with dragon eggs ?

I've not been able to find any with the same themes either. I can find loads of festivally ones no problem, but any game of thrones stuff seems to be in the form of inspiration blogs "this is how to do a GoT wedding."

There are a few i've found with touches here and there, like a themed cake or table names, but none with the whole shebang. If anyone ever comes across one, i'd love to see please, the inspiration would be great!

Judging by the look of horror on everyone's faces when we say we're not having rings, I imagine that there aren't many couples who don't exchange rings? We wont be.

I'm not having a bouquet of any description either.

None of the above are (consciously) for the sake of being unique or striving to be different, rings just aren't our thing really and although there are bouquets i've cooed over it's most definitely not a priority for me, so unless I could snag something perfect for a fiver (unlikely!) I'd probably rather stick the money behind the bar!

Sadly we are Kent based ☹️ I did find one company that hires them out but they only take bookings 3 months in advance, we aren't getting married until 2015!

Just had a sneak peak at your pinterest, love it!

Haha! I'm quite enjoying the flashes of your table linen - they're quite incredible!!

I'm pretty sure everything about our wedding is pretty standard other than, obviously, us and our combination of friends/family. It's funny because before I started using hitched I came up with all this wedding ideas that I thought were quite original and have since found whole threads dedicated to them! And pretty much everything we've picked since is because we've seen it on pinterest! Although maybe our complete lack of originality is unique in its own way? ?

Oh, god, don't tell my partner that hiring a TARDIS is an option (or the dalek vodka luge, for that matter). I've ordered a Doctor Who garter and am knitting the 4th doctor's scarf for some photos, but if she had her way, she'd have us going the whole hog (as seen here: https://greenweddingshoes.com/doctor-who-styled-wedding-inspiration/).

We're getting married in a working lighthouse. It's not unique, but it's unusual for sure. The little things we're having at the receptions are pretty ubiquitous in wedding planning boards, but I'm fairly confident people will think the photobooth, sweetie buffet, rice krispie cake wedding cake, totally open bar and the whole two-brides-thing makes for a pretty unusual, memorable wedding.

It's not really 'unique' because the Dartmouth Railway company do wedding packages, but we're riding on a steam train, getting married at a train station and having our reception on a boat whilst cruising up the River Dart. Like I said, not unique, but almost every other wedding I've been to has been at a church followed by a reception in a hotel/local hall, with an evening disco in the same place.

I wanted something Canadian, and OH loved it when he had it. LOL it will absorb alcohol nicely Smiley smile We wanted to do a S'mores Bar, but I think the venue required us to hire someone to look after it, so we will introduce his friends to S'mores later

Nothing particularly. In fact there have been moments when I have undone plans as I've realised I'm just getting swept away by what is popular now (candy bar/birdcages). I've tried to take a step back and make choices that I've always loved, and make sure things reflect us not fashion.

Sorry that probably sounds a little contrived, it isn't meant to be! What I mean is being different/unique doesn't matter, as long as it's stuff we want I'm happy.

Most people don't go to that many weddings once they get older so I think all your ideas will be new and extraordinary to most people - and they all sound lovely!

We've just come up with something for the table plan. I remembered that my daughter's favourite board game is Cludeo so I've got a board and cards and will put people's names in the rooms with a character or implement and then on the tables put the room card with the character/implement card stuck together to identify the tables. We'll put something like 'Clue up on where you're sitting' on the top of the board. So people find themselves and know that they are eating 'in the ballroom with Miss Scarlett'!

The other special thing is that she's getting married on Monday 17th February and her grandparents got married on Monday 17th Feb 1958 - so we're going to have two cakes and cake cutting ceremonies (her grandparents don't know about this yet!).

Also she's wearing her grandmother's dress (remade at the bottom due to stains - but the top totally original). So pretty special I think.

What I had which I thought was kind of different:-

    - macaron tower (not my idea, but something I had never seen before at another wedding)

    - dessert wine with dessert

    - French family entertainment between courses (not to my taste but hey ho)

    - opera singer during the ceremony (ha again not my choice, but some kind of "gift" to us from a distant cousin)

I don't think anything of ours will be unique as it is a fairly traditional wedding. I am trying to think of something to make it a bit more 'us' however.

Things which are making it feel more personal to me so far are the wedding cake I designed, invites and STDs I designed and the quirky little facts on the back of place cards because my h2b is well known for annoying people with them.

All our stuff will have been done before somewhere, but I doubt many of our guests will have seen them.

We're getting married in a Bird of Prey Sanctuary, so will be having the rings delivered by a Barn Owl as well as our guests having the oppotunity to fly hawks to the fist during the afternoon. The wedding breakfast is lego heavy... with place and table names, favours and even the flower arrangements including hints of lego. The top table flowers will be built around one of my OH's technic lego models...doubt anyone attending will have seen that before ?.
