Hi All

I have 15 children aged from 2-10 with most of them being from 4-10 coming to my wedding and i didn't know what to do for them weather to do a party bag or put some colouring stuff on the table and if so what sort of thing should i put in the bags? Can't believe its only 7 weeks today! am getting quite nervous and scared now!

Thanks

Gosh 15?? We only had the one.

I would have probably made up party bags with things like crayons and colouring books. Or maybe set a table to the side of the room and have the colouring books and crayons there.

How about cheap disposable cameras for the older kids? They could take photos and feel like they're doing an important job on the day.

Hiya, I'm having quite a few children along with my own little boy who will be just over 3 when we get hitched and we are also doing a goodie bag for each of them that will be age relevant so colouring books, crayons, some sweets, balloons and a teddy or toy etc.

Was also thinking about hiring some outdoor games for them theres some outdoor companies that do giant outdoor games such as giant jenga, giant chess, space hoppers, connect four and bouncy castles etc for about £200. Only have the name of one company so far - aaainflatables.co.uk

Also thought about doing a treasure hunt for the ones that are a bit older

    HTH xx

We had bags with a reading book each, colouring / sticker book, teddy, game, bubbles and something else which escapes me...

We also had giant Jenga and Connect 4 and a bouncy castle. The adults loved the bouncy castle just as much as the kids! Probably the best money was spent on that, I have some lovely photos of me with my nieces, goddaughter and friends on there.

We're putting a cage in a dark corner, with a few toys and cheesy nibbles in it.

    Failing that,I have no clue...

Nothing. It's not our job to entertain other people's children.

If they want to bring them to our wedding, then they can keep them quiet and amused, or make arrangements for someone else to have them instead.

Weddings are not automatically child-friendly; usually lots of sitting down where quiet is required, often lots of alcohol and suchlike really are not condusive to a good evening for all.

Sorry if that sounds harsh but that's our take on things, as you asked.

We have what seems a whopping 51 children coming to our wedding...but i wouldnt change it for the world. Were not having a sit down meal so theres no need for them to be made to sit still. We have the caterers doing us a 'kiddy' table with general party food and have also organised with the parents that they will help do a few 'party' games for children and adults alike!

As favours we are having a lucky dip...each will include 4 crayons, colouring book, bubbles, ballon and a little packet of haribos. We have asked parents to have children collected by 9.30pm if they are wishing to stay late but dont have to feel they have too xx

I am printing these books onto card (front to back) and then folding them in half and binding with ribbon. I also picked up packs of 8 twistable crayons (they are plastic on the outside) from the range yesterday for £1 each!
