My actual hen weekend has been sworn to secrecy......all I know is where we are staying has 6 double bedrooms! But Hen night (for the Mums, SIL2B etc) will probably be in the local greek restaurant who has ladies nights on with a drag queen/strippers! Utter cheese but sooooo funny!!

Toyed with the idea of going a bit upmarket but as my friends would have recently shelled out for the hen weekend and the 2 bridesmaids have young children didn't want to strecth anyone's pocket and expect people to come again to a "big" hen night so £30 for a 3 course meal and entertainment sounds perfect haha!

Nic the Greek restaurant thing sounds ace! There is one near where I live and I went for my friends 30th, it was sooooooooo funny.

Trickers - quad biking! That sounds brilliant, wonder if I can convince my girls into it. I like go-karting too, last time I did that I nearly wee'd laughing!

    I'm having 2!

One is a weekend in Prague with 6 of my closest girlies :-) we've just booked the flights and a 3 bed apartment for 3 nights.

Other one isn't finalised yet but I'm thinking a cabaret night at a local hotel so everyone can have dinner, drinks and dancing. This will be a much "bigger" event with Mums, aunties and more friends coming. I thought about going to a nearby city/out and about but I like the idea of us all being in one place together, no danger of losing people on the way and people can sit/dance/drink/eat as much as they like.

This arrangement did kick up a bit of a fuss with my MIL who was offended that she wasn't invited to Prague! Why would a 50something year old woman want to spend 3 nights on the p!ss with a group of young girls?! My Mum said she couldn't think of anything worse!

What's everyone else doing? Who are you inviting?

I have tried to ban all the L plates, dressing me up and generally embarrassing me however I have been assured that they will not listen ? but we are going glamping!! At least there will be only limited people to witness my embarassment if we are in a field lol x

After initially trying to have too much of a say in it, I'm now leaving mine up to my sis and MOH. I think they're planning a night away in a nice city and I'm hoping for cocktails. My sis knows I don't really want to dress up but I think my MOH may try to change that.

I'm combining mine with my 30th so people don't have to fork out twice next summer

Naboo - then you miss the fun of having to go out in public like this:

In answer to the OP - I went to a Butlins adults only weekend, 90's reloaded and it was brilliant, really good fun. It cost £150 for 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast so other than alcohol that was pretty much it spends wise and we all took our own with us too so costs weren't huge.

Also had a night out locally, £20 for a 3 course meal and a disco after. Both mum's came to this.

I'm not the clubbing type at all, one of my Bridesmaids has suggested going to London to watch The Lion King which sounds good to me (Would be my 4th time watching it, love it!).

    Wowsers, looking hot there, Rae!

I have one in March which is a surprise. I think it's abroad. I'm not allowed to ask any questions!

I also have an afternoon tea in February for extended family (both sides) and friends. Trying to keep it cheap.

Mine was organised by my best mates (bridesmaids) however as one was due to pop 2 weeks before the wedding we had it about 6 weeks before hand so at about 7.5 months gone I wasn't expecting much! ?

It was fab! It was all a surprise until it happened - even down to who was there.

I was driven down to Southampton area and we had a night in a DeVere Hotel just outside Southampton. We spent the afternoon sat in the courtyard drinking champagne. That night we went to dinner at Vatika - Atul Kouchar's restaurant on a vineyard. It was amazing! They knew I had wanted to go to his London resturant. The next day we went to Marwell Zoological Park and they'd arranged and paid for me to go and feed the Lemurs ?

    ❤️d it!

I want to keep it local to keep costs down and have in mind something like: Go Ape in the morning, followed by Afternoon Tea and then a meal and Cocktail Bar crawl in the evening! That way there's something for everyone and people can choose if they attend the whole thing or just some of it.

Cocktail class at Revolutions then dinner and dancing in London. Staying over in a cheapy travel lodge then going for breakfast somewhere that does American style pancakes. Looking forward to it!

That sounds so similar to mine! I'm going to London and doing the cocktail class, going to a show and staying in travelodge. I'm in the process of getting it booked now and it's starting to drive me crazy!

For my main Hen Do I am going to Marbella, I have 17 people coming with me and 11 of them are staying Saturday to Monday and then myself and 6 others are staying for a week until the following Saturday.

Then, for those that cannot come to Marbella I am going to do a local night out, probably a meal followed by drinks somewhere.

As far as i know, my BM is organising a meal and drinks out locally nothing too expensive or crazy, which sounds perfect to me!

However!! if any of you want to go see a london show, i massivly recommend "pricilla queen of the desert" went to see it in oct, i cheered and whooped and sang my little heart out the whole time! it was fabulous!! one of the right ups on it said " it should be prscribed by the NHS for a cure for depression!" it really was one of the besest things iv ever ever seen, am trying to get my mum and OH mum to go see it again in maech for a mothers day treat.xxxxx

Im off to Edinburgh for the weekend with 12 of my closest mates, we have 3 apartements between us and there are lots of activities planned that I know nothing about - I did want one of the nights to a bit classy, I suggested lbd's and stilleto's with minimum hen accesories, but somehow I doubt thats going to happen, so long as they dont make me wear flashing willies, and condoms hanging from my veil - oh and absoloutly no strippers, seriously I couldnt think of anything worse than slapping some random sailors ass whilst lubing him up with baby oil! - watch this space!

We are having a joint one with about 25 of us going to Brighton for the weekend. Havnt planned any "things" to do as yet apart from copious amounts of alcohol, but still have time to decide.

Well.. I was greedy and had 3!

My first was a WAGs themed hen night (only because all our OHs play footie together) and I ended up being confronted with a nude life drawing model!

Second was for other friends and family at a restuarant with a fab motown singer. It was hawaiian themed. (me and my BMs)

And third was a spa day with my BMs and two other friends

    (ETA sorry pics are huge!)

    Mine was a surprise!

In london - burlesque dancing with feather bowers (fully clothed) followed by cocktail making.

Then we went on for a Chinese meal with karaoke!

I loved every minute of it - I had family and friends there and we all had a giggle.

H2B and I have already agreed that instead of having a hen or stag do....that about a month before the big day we're going to throw a party at our house and have them both together Smiley smile put lots of food on (buffet style), my mate is a dj so we'll drag him along, and just let rip! (it's been a while since the neighbours had anything to complain about lol)

Mine's this weekend ? We're heading to Birmingham to do an activity, meal, drinks, and a hotel on Saturday and then shopping on the Sunday. The finer detail of which is a surprise ?

Three of the ladies are pregnant, and a couple of mums with young children, so they are coming to all or some of the day depending on what they are fit for!
