What are you doing for your hen night?

MrsLtobe, 5 December, 2010 at 13:16 Posted on Planning 0 19

All I wanted was to have a nice meal and then BOOGIE! So we're going here: www.twinpalace.co.uk that has great food, a dancefloor and a DJ

How about you?

    Mine is a suprise!

I know 2 of my 4 bridesmaids plus a few friends are pushing to go away in April, but without it being all 4 of us I am so not keen!

The big do - i've suggested Manchester, no idea where we will end up or what we will be doing but no doubt there will be lots of drinks and dancing. I'm not a big drinker and so I have a "No shots for the bride" rule.

The night before the wedding we are also having a little get together - cake, pizza, Sex and the city films and a beautician in doing our nails.

16 of us are going to spend a day at Chapel Spa in Cheltenham, then a few drinks, followed by a lovely meal at Red Pepper in Cheltenham, where we will have a room to ourselves.

I have organized this myself as A not everyone knows each other, B I can have it exactly the way I want it this way and C I am a control freak!

My sister is organising my hen do, all I know is the guest list, date and that's it London and overnight. I have been warned there are some surprises - I am a total control freak and was so not up for the whole 'l' plate and strippers thing. I want a classy affair that will appeal to my mum and aunties as well as friends. I really appreciate the effort my sister has gone to, and I will let you know how she does!

My CB is organising mine, but she's come up with 3 ideas so far..... Dirty Dancing (it's a class where you are taught all the dances from Dirty Dancing - Plus you get a Johnny!!), Burlesque Dancing, and 80's Theme weekend at Butlins!!

I'm edging for the Dirty Dancing!! I LOVE that film!!! Smiley smile

Im organising mine as my CBM (my sister) is not good at organising anything unless its for her benefit, which in a way, this is... but anyway

Thinking of a spa weekend, its going to cost a fair bit though so may end up just going for a day spa and then a nice meal on the way home in the evening..

Tradition amongst my friends are the bridesmaids organise the hen do so all i have to do is provide a list of invitees and where NOT to go and voila! so i wont have a clue Smiley smile

We did this for my best mate this year and had a day at the races (as her hen party included older people also) and then dinner and VIP night out at a club and staying at a nearby hotel....the place was about 45mins from home (but she was very strict on what we could and couldnt do whereas il be more of a do whatever kind of bride lol)

    Im having 2 hen do's!!!

Im having 4 bridesmaids, 2 of them are organising a night out somewhere other than where we live I think the latest idea is manchester.. this will be the 'tradtional' L plates and fake veil affair...

then my other 2 bridesmaids are organising a day event at a spa - this will be the option everyone is invited to since im not comfortable inviting my mum and OH's mum on a night out round manchester.. haha!

H2B is going go karting with his crew!

I'm just recovering from mine on Saturday gone. I had a pub lunch, went horse riding, then a pamper night at my mates house. A girl came and did massage and beauty. It was fabulous. We had lots of wine but everyone was comfortable. Loved it. Xx

    I am having 2 !!

I am going to Marbella for a weekend with 17 others and then 7 of us are staying for the rest of the week so I can attempt to get some colour for the wedding and then for those not coming to Marbella I am doing a night out locally, probably dinner somewhere and then drinks in a bar.

I'm going to Brighton for one nite, having a drink and beauty treatment each in a salon, having some lunch then going to Dreamboys, which includes food drink, entertainment, club entry etc and then we r staying a travel lodge. i wanted something more extravagant but it meant people couldnt afford to come, and all my friends being there was the most important thing!

Nothing sorted as it's too far away yet but I would like to go to London for the night, have a nice dinner somewhere and then watch The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre (For the 4th time!) then stay over in a cheapy hotel and have a girly night.
